Hey, my sister and I will be going to Cedar Point on August 1st for a first time whilst on holiday from the UK and we have a few questions ^_^.
We're going to be dropped off at the park by our parents, so I was wondering where would be the best place to have a drop off and where would be the best collection point?
What places to eat would you recommend, we're open to anything just not too pricey and also what are the prices like for food and drink in the park, I've seen a meal deal offer online for around $10 is this worth getting?
How busy will the park be on this date, we plan on getting fast passes as it is likely to be a good few years before even a possibility of returning is considered, so would fast passes be a good bet?
Which rides would you recommend I'm at least aiming for TTD, MF and Maverick?
Finally just any else you would recommend just for the experience XD? Thanks.
We just came from our first ever trip.It was a tremendous three day adventure! Fast Lane is definitely worth the money, and i suggest you get one. It gave us the opportunity to ride what we wanted, when we wanted, and to get multiple rides on our favorites.
Food is pricey, we ate a hot dog at pinks that was exceptional.
I would suggest adding Magnum to your list of must do rides, a great coaster with lots of airtime.
Rides that might not be on your radar being that they are not coasters - MaxAir, SkyHawk, Windseeker and Powertower. Also be sure not to miss Cedar Downs and no trip to the park is complete without a ride on the train. Since you are getting the fastlane passes you should have more then enough time to do every ride you want multiple times. If you decide you need a break from the heat mid-day the town hall museum is a good spot. It hardly ever has anyone in it and has a bunch of pictures of Cedar Point from the early 1900's.
In my opinion the best food deal in the park is the hot dog or Johnsonville brat stand (if they are open). A big hot dog or brat, a bag of chips and a small bottle of pop (pepsi or diet pepsi) all for about $5. Someone on here should be able to tell you where they are located this year.

We just returned from our week long trip to Cedar Point. I think the best food deal in the park is the meal deal posted on line for $10.60. If you go to guest service's in the front of the park (it's the end-cap to the ticket station's) you can purchase them there for $10.60 each without paying a procssing fee. We used them at Midway Market, which is buffet style and the food is pretty good. You get a souvenir cup with it which can be refilled for $1.99 each time you refill it. We just refilled them with ice water each time because it was soo hot last week.
The Johnsonville brat stand is a great deal as well for $5.99, the one stand I know of is located across from the Millenium force entrance.
