Hi everyone. This will be my first year working at Cedar Point. I have been there many times though. I have a few questions if anyone could help me out I'd appreciate it!
1-Anyone's parents go with them to process in? My mom is coming with me will she be able to go around with me? And can we stay at the park and ride after I'm done that day?
2-I am going to be working in one of the resort hotels. Will I get an ID badge and see a training video?
3-When is orientation and what goes on there?
Thanks so much and if you can answer these I'd appreciate it!
I don't know any of that, but I would like to know for the last two...
This'll be my first year at the Point, and I'll be showing up on the 12th (Damned "No early exams" policy at my collge...).
I got hired by Food Services for one of the small food-shops (I can't remember the exact name, but it's a grill).

Let us know which place you get put into.. I'll make sure to at least stop by once and order something...

I'm prett sure you can take someone with you when you get you uniform and manuels, but I'm almost certain you cannot get someone else in for free. You get four free tickets after you complete four weeks of work. When you process in you get an ID badge at Human Resources. You can get in the park free anytime you want. Each depertmant has its own orientation procedure. In foods they review safety methods and take a test. Hope that helps.
Okay, I'm pretty sure now that they assigned me to Gulliver's... I wasn't sure to begin with because I didn't see it on my trip up to the Point last summer (what I get for looking at the 'coasters, I guess :)), and I didn't really hear the name of the place clearly when I called.

Okay, ignore my previous question. :) sorry for my ignorance, I'll go delete it in a moment. It most likely is Gulliver's, if they said grill. Do you remember whom you talked to? Also, welcome to the family! :) Gulliver's is in Zone 6, and was my first stand as a supervisor. I loved it there! They have two remarkable supervisors this year, Crystal and Jamie. And I'll be covering for most of May so if you start then I'll see you! Best of luck!

The Food Services rep directed me to Tony Aaron's office, but I don't know if it was him I talked to...

Tony's your Area Manager, but you may have talked to Hal Halmon. Anyways, working for Tony is great! He may push you hard (if your a supervisor, that is) but we still have fun, while maintaining high standards. The employees in Zones 5, 6, and now 7, are like a family, we're all close. I look forward to working with you!

I believe that your parents can go with you through the processing in, but I am not sure whether they can accompany you after the process is finished or if they have to pay admission. I would say, give HR a call and ask them.

Okay peoples, here I go.
1. Yes, your parents may come in with you. After you process in, you are free to enjoy the park for the rest of the day. (for free!!!)
2. Yes, you can stay at the park after you are done working and for as long as you like.
3a. Yes, there is orientation. In fact, I believe that there is orientation for every department.
3b. I don't know the answer to that one.
