Here is an interesting topic.
I am sure Cedar Point being a major park has made available to some of its rides the option of buying a photo of yourself while on the ride?!?
I love these and have collected many from Kennywood and Disney. I have also had to refrain from buying some that I would have loved to have because some JERK who thinks he's cute and knows just where the camera is decides to flip the bird. I tend to hate this guy because I know he isn't going to buy that picture...and My darling little boys expressions of fear/suprise/glee that are so hard to capture on film are wasted because of this dumb-ass..(sorry). This guy always sits infront of my kids to I swear! Anyhoo! does Cedar point have some sort of policy reguarding this sort of behavior? Can I get the idiot to be tarred and feathered and forced to stand in the middle of the park for the rest of the day wearing a sign stating he is responsible for ruining pictures and costing the park money? (be it only my ten/twenty dollars). I think that some sort of rule has to be made that if you prevent a purchase of a picture...you are kicked out of the park forever!
Has the park had complaints of such behavior in the past?
I know it must happen alot...the idiot/normal ratio in the world is high.
Just consider my complaint to be filed already! I am sure it will happen to me again!
Perhaps I should call the park in advance and complain? several times...under assumed names?
Just curious...again.

Honestly I do not recall seeing too many pictures that people have to act like immature JERKS on. The finger prob you spoke of I see more at PKI than CP and I ALWAYS make a rude comment like "oh look at that immature idiot in that pic who ruined it for everyone else" and the person is right next to me and yes I will look at them. (I'm from NYC-dont EVEN mess with me) I have however seen more than my share of hysterical pics (I am the proud owner of one of Hooper that he took for me last season-too funny) and I do believe on Sunday Jeff S took a classic shot!
If you use your IMAGINATION instead of just being plain STUPID you can get some great pics. As for the finger flipping freaks, no there is nothing we can do but delete the pic. If we had to put a sign on every guest that read "I'm an idiot" we would run out of signs after the first hour.
(I think this thread belongs in "general")

If I cant ride it, rope it, pull a trailer behind it, then I dont want it!! Cowgirl up!!
I've seen a lot of photos with immature behavior -- flipping the bird, raising up your shirt, grotesque (more than the coaster distortion) faces, etc. It really is a shame that some people feel the only way they can get their kicks is by being immature a**holes. CP's policy with those pictures (the finger ones) is to not display it on the moniter, and it is not available for purchase. Unfortunately, that does ruin it for everyone in that photo, but there really isn't anything CP can do about it. I wish we could!

Well,
I have to say at least CP is smart enough not to display them! Which is more than I can say for DISNEY WORLD----the big family place where you expect these things not to happen!~
Please don't think that disney is anyting but my favorite place on earth......the photos...just a minor annoyance.
I have the classic on-ride-picof me reading the CP Fun Guide on Raptor!

Live for FUN!
GO SHAMROCKS!
GO WOLVERINES!
Lol! That has to be an amusing pic! I always hate how I look in those pics but I buy them because my kids have some great expressions of terror. Hey! thats a good idea...if I hide behind the fun guide....no one will see my look of terror! I have also thought of taking a small pocket tape recorder on with me...My ten year old son can scream like a little girl which is supprising if you heard how deep his voice is when he speaks. The other boy calls out for his Mommy on occasion.
I ussualy hold on like im really scared, act like im sleeping, flex, or do the rock on hand gesture thing with my toungue out...do you guys consider that immature? just wondering
My friends and I always try to come up with something stupid. One of our recent poses, we both give the 3D hand sign (wrestling fans know what I'm talkin about!) Usually we come up with something having to do with wrestling, just because they look pretty funny.

Reading the fun guide on teh ride??? Isn't that grounds for removal from the park ;)

I only object to profanity! I can't purchase a picture of my kids when there is some moron whipping the bird in the camera....so go ahead and flex baby! I'll buy that!
Anybody ever act like your fighting with the rider next to you?
I figured that I would share one of my photo experences with you.
Last year I went back to ride Mean Streak after a long day of work on the other Streak in the park with a bunch of friends. When I reached the platform the next loaded train leaving the station was a bunch of young girls (I think they were cheerleaders). Anyways, when I got done with riding I went down and past the pic shop and saw that every single one of the girls on the ride flashed the camera. Even though I don't care for obscenity in the park it cracked me up to see that every single one of them did it at the same time. What was even better is that at Mean Streak photo's the camera's are not visible to the employee behind the counter. As far as the finger thing save it for another park and don't ruin it for everyone else. Use your imagination and come up with something that no one else would think of (I have seen great one's on MF this year already).

MF 2001 - Tell ya when I hit triple digits....
During Millennium Mania last year, my brother, one of my friends, and I rode Magnum 23 times in a row and every single time we posed differently foe the pictures. The photo crew was laughing at us and thought our pictures were cool. We did stuff like put our heads in our shirts, we pretending like we were fighting, fallen asleep, just lots of funny and dumb stuff.

http://sapman.homestead.com --- My stupid website
curiosity killed the cat.....yes I had to visit the forementioned site....and yes I am disgusted. People are just pigs. Though I did see a somewhat profane photo on a flume ride once that did make me chuckle....this guy had a terrified look on his face which was amusing enough...but he was also clinging on for dear life to the breasts of the woman infront of him....she looked rather shocked herself...and she was fully clothed...I had to chuckle admittedly
i think my picture on profile here is the one some stranger bought for me and my friend because he liked it so much, and thought we should have it.
I had one like WHOEVER's, but it was my friend behind me that was choking me. It looked real, but I didn't buy it. I wish I would have.
funny pic whoever.....lol
