Few Quick Videos & Things from my Weekend Trip

Well, I'm tired of writing essay trip reports everywhere, so I'll sum up with what's necessary, and a few nifty videos I took that weekend.

1. Haunts were good, Eden Musee is the best CP haunt IMO. Great scenery, great scares, and all around very fun. Close second had to be Eerie Estate. Zombie High School was just stupid....I'll give it one more chance to redeem itself being the beginning of the haunt season & being the new kid on the block, but my run through Saturday was just..it was pathetic, I really wished I didn't wait in line.

2. Skeleton Crew is a great show, the fire guy is just, awesome. I loved the music with the whole show, can anyone get that music or what it is if it's not produced in house? Great stuff, I wish Luminosity was to that level honestly.

3. Red Garter's show was pretty good, but Skeleton Crew was much better

4. Tofts has Pumpkin Pie ice cream, get it, it's so good, especially the shake.

5. Don't go to Pony, I think this is the last time I'll go...too overpriced, my beer was 6 bucks for an Angry Cider?? Really???

6. What's so special about the tweetup coins?

Enjoy the videos...

Cool videos. I'll have to try the french fry feeding this weekend. My son loves feeding those fish.

Use regular fries, they didn't like the chili cheese fries we grabbed from stockade as much. My girlfriend took that video and it was dramatically different, so if I get the video from her I'll post it, it's quite amusing.

Overpriced?!? I could not agree less.

I can't speak for the beer, but mixed drinks are plenty strong, and reasonably priced.

Beyond that, the food is actually a pretty great value. Tastes pretty good (for "bar food"), and prices aren't out of line for "tourist trap" type places.

I think everyone owes it to themselves to try The Thirsty Pony at least once.

I like it...But when I spent 6 bucks on an Angry Orchard Hard Cider, and then I think 6 for a basket of deep fried pickles...no..

My girlfriends mixed drink was a weak martini and cost 9 bucks...

I'll just go grab food and stop at crowbar for dollar drafts and like 5 dollar mixed drinks, and those are usually loaded.

Last time I went my Manhattan @ Crowbar was 6 bucks, I don't even wanna know it's price at Pony

I don't know, to me, $6 for deep fried pickles or a seasonal cider doesn't sound overpriced. But then again I live in Ferndale, so it may just be that I'm accustomed to prices like that.

When I go to a bar, I want food and drink - not just drink. And given the limited choices in the area, it seems that Pony is a decent choice.

Though maybe not if you're into cider. :)

Thirsty Pony is a pretty good place. I love their burgers and they're right in the ballpark with what you'd expect to pay for barfood around this area, which is good with them being on CPs doorstep. Good environment for TV, Keno, Horseracing (if you need it), and also bowling, laser tag, etc....

^^Fashionable Ferndale :)

Also known as "Fabulous Ferndale". :)

For craft beer, that doesn't sound too unreasonable. Now if it were $6 for mass brewed water beer, then I'd riot.

See I think it's because in the past, I used to go to other places for drinks/food...

Cooker being my prime example over on 250...best food, best atmosphere, best drinks, it was the #1 place IMO for food in Sandusky...

But they closed...sad day

That was the last Cooker. They were big in the late 80's, early 90's. I didn't even know the Sandusky one existed until a couple or so years ago. I will miss those chicken sandwiches with the Louisiana mayonnaise.

Oh yeah...Fried Green Tomatoes, and the Margherita (dunno why they spelled it that way) Chicken Sandwich, and then the loaded potato chips, then the fruit infused water (favorite was the Watermelon & Basil)...good stuff

I agree! I caught the Skeleton Crew show three times this weekend! I don't think that there is a single 'lull' in the whole performance...even through the end of the show, watching the drummer jamming out to the music is just great!

I would love to be able to obtain the music played throughout the performance... if anybody knows if that is possible, I would really appreciate it!
