Fence on the beach?

Ok, maybe I'm going senile in my old age, but I just checked out the live web cam of the beach down past breakers and coming down from Wicked Twister, theres a LONG fence, and what looks to be a sidewalk all the way down with lights on the beach. Was this here before?? Am I losing my mind? Or could this be the oft rumored "boardwalk" being put in?

I'm pretty sure that was already there wasn't it? That's the hotel and pool, and there was always that paved area between the beach and hotel to walk down. I think it just looks different with all the snow around there.

Yea, its a really nice area to walk. You can exit at the Oceana gate and walk all the way down past Breakers East, Tower, Rotunda, and Bon Aire, past Soak City and Magnum and all the way down to Sandcastle. If you do some clever sniffing your way, you can find your way through Camper Village and Lighthouse Point too. Its definitely a nice walk.

Yeah the board walk cuts through Sandcastle, and continues onthe otehr side behind Camper Village and through Lighthouse Point. I remember hearing about how they extended the boardwalk to include Lighthouse Point last year. (Hey, maybe that was the extent of the infamous boardwalk project)
