Favorite/Least Favorite Midway Music?

Favorite: That Shania Twain (I think?) song with the G D C chords... I think she's singing "For all my life..." or something? For me that song IS Cedar Point.

Least: Funkytown. It made me want to kill. Also almost all music played in Camp Snoopy, because the "kids" didn't sound like kids, they sounded like f'ed up adults run through a keyboard. Freaky.

Im with you on the Funkytown. One of the kids here was playing it at school, and I had to run in and order him to "stop playing that or the computer gets it". Ahhh I can't stand that song. "Daa daa do da do do da de da da..." NOOOO!

Being across the midway from that sing it yourself studios thing, I like listing to some of the people butcher up a song. It's kind of funny sometimes. It's also nice when the Halloweekends soundtrack kicks in.

CADS 2004 - Ride Pride + Red Tag again!

Since I worked near TTD last year and had numerous opportinuties to hear the dragster music while I was selling those cords in the line, I must say that the Beach Boys' Fun, Fun Fun starts to drive you up the wall. I love that song but it really drove me crazy over the summer. The Sunday, Sunday, Sunday thing makes you want to shoot yourself too

It seemed like everytime that i was on the midway, this song i don't know the title of though, was always playing~ "And i love you, and I need you (need you) and i want youououou! " LOL... it got irritating, but it's cp classic. And your so right about the other two, being the beach boys and funkytown... they get to you after a while haha.
My favorite midway music has to be anything by Yanni -- and thankfully, they play a LOT of it. The song "Everglade Run" by Yanni is one of my most favorites; it's the song they play directly after the Summer Spectacular.

The midway song I hate the most I don't think was played at all last year... It's this *terrible* song about a saxophone and the guy sings "rock, rock, rock...roll, roll, roll..." I have no idea what the name of it is, but that song should be destroyed and never played again anywhere on the planet.

I would submit my views on this, but the pathetic thing is I don't remember the Midway music.... just the Mo-town mix

I remember that song well, Jake... the best part is when they do the key change as if it's some epic masterpiece of songwriting... sigh.

Hi:

I remember they were playing Achey Breaky Heart a few years ago. Country music is bad enough to me, at least they could play country music that is liked by country fans. I kept wanting to complain about it to someone, but the only two silver tag's I've seen around fronteer town are the wood carving guy, and the nice hip looking black dude. I'm not going to upset someone with a knife in his hand, and I think I figured out the black guy was around foodservice, so prolly had no more ability to quiet Billy Ray Cyrus than I could.

Once again, I suspect I'm not the typical heavy spender at CP, so I don't mind if things aren't in my tastes. I can imagine that hearing the same songs over and over again must be a chore for the folks who work there.

On a positive note, I seriously doubt any song could bother me as much as ABH, so it can only get better!

i think with the excitement of getting to go back i am hearing things. Yesterday at work over the radio i swear all i was hearing was midway music. i think my co workers think i am wierd now.

Well I think if I hear papa was a rollin stone or everybodys going surfin in the usa one more time i will burst.
I absolutely cannot stand that Billy Joel song that they play in the back of the park..."she's a modern woman." Everytime I hear it I want to scream.

Ugh, that song is one of those ones that gets stuck in your head. As soon as I read that the melody started playing in the back of my mind -- agh, I need to distract myself with another song. ::dives for mp3 collection::

they play it in frontier town... it's a country song, something about twang or swang ... a guy singing it with background girls. That song is so bad, that its great.

Oh that's the "Swingin" song with the dude with the whiny-ass voice and the big band that comes in during the chorus. That's another good one
