Favorite Maneuver

I really like the quick transitions on Maverick. The two turns in the canyons in the first half are fun. The two after are great and I really like the stengal dive. They give you a more out of control wild ride.

Wow that is a pic of TTD from right when it opened. Don't see many where it only has 5 cars per train.

What do you call that "Roll under Lift Hill" on Maverick? Does it have a special name?

Forgot about the drop on X. Definitely a great maneuver. Nothing like a vertical nosedive.

It's not the drop on X. It's the rollover on the side where the train is in that picture.

I think that thing on Maverick is called a stengle dive. I'm not positive though.

My favorite elements are zero-g-rolls and any hill with lots of airtime.

My favorite on any coaster is on El Toro. Its the drop after the turnaround by the station. Most intense feeling of airtime i've ever experienced.. blows anything i've ever ridden out of the water in terms of ejector.

At the Point.. Maverick's first drop.

At the point my favorite is either Magnums 3rd hill or the hill before and the hill with the camera on Magnum. Floater air on hill #3, lots of ejector air on those 2 hops before the camera.

What Ben said. But I have to admit, I love the feeling you get from the drop, first airtime hill, and last airtime hill on Maverick. I guess I really am an airtime whore.

I change my fav. Mine is the feeling when you get hit in the face with water in mavericks 3 canyon on the Scurve! J/k

I understand that the drop on X is not your favorite maneuver. I was just saying that I like the drop on X.

This may sound silly, but why do so many people refer to the body of water by Maverick the Swan Lake?

Another I would add to my list comes from, believe it or not, Mean Streak. It's not a maneuever at all, really, but I have always loved the track crossover on the lift hill.

Too bad once you actually drop the moment of magic is gone.

^It's called Swan Lake because a few years ago, the Swan Boats ride used to be on that lake.

Ah yes, the Gemini head chopper. That has gotten me every time. #2 would have to be http://rcdb.com/ig3305.htm?picture=73. (Pretzel loop?) Magnum bunny hops 3rd. 4 is http://rcdb.com/ig636.htm?picture=11. As a kid, that flat straightaway taught me how to ride with my hands in the air. It's a great memory.

I could not agree more. I love that too. It is so fast and violent it took me by surprise the first ride in it. It is tied with the drop and the second and third hill. All offer great ejector.

I love gettting launched in tunnel at night with the lights flashing on Mav, and taking that sharp turn right out of the tunnel. I also love the airtime on Mav. I also like that final big banked turn on MF.
