Fast lane passes

i have a fear of getting air time on maverick and my body sliding forward enough for that horn to give me a good time I didn't ask for on the way back down.

It says on the website that fast lane is limited and can sell out. Do you think the risk of it selling out is high before opening day?

For what day? Here’s the thing about FastLane... it really only sells out when the park is so busy that even FastLane has long lines. And if you buy it ahead of time and then it rains all day, you’re S-O-L. I highly recommend waiting to buy it at the park unless you’re dead set on going like Columbus Saturday or something like that.

Opening Day this year might be the exception to that generally accepted rule regarding FL. There sure is a lot of anticipation and hype over this coaster. I have never bought one but if I were attending opening day I sure would want one.

Or.... go to OSU day the day before opening day.

Also the Platinum Pass holder discount (FL+ for the price of a regular FL) is only available in the park.

If you plan on getting to the park early, and buy it first thing if you're dead set on having it regardless of that days attendance then you should be fine. And early as in before noon.

I've personally have only ever seen it "sell out" on Halloweekend Saturdays. And honestly I only assume it sold out cause the signs out on the midways were taken into the gift shops.

I don't believe so.

I've only seen the FL+ discount advertised on CP's webpage. It's on the season pass perks page. And it is a Platinum Pass only discount/perk. Well they advertise it as a "free" upgrade when you purchase a FL.

I have not seen it advertised as a season pass perk for any other park. But it doesn't hurt to call/email any specific park to ask or ask when at the park to purchase.

Can the passholder buy two fast lane plus passes each for the price of a regular, or can they only get the discount on one?

^^In my experience you only need one Platinum Pass holder in the group to receive the deal. But as all park policies can change be aware that policy could change without notice.

Last season I purchased 2 bands, one for myself and a friend who was not a passholder at all and had no problems.
