They varied in price all season- and even increased throughout a single day as demand increased.
The only real way to ‘lock in’ a price is to buy them in advance online, the prices were reflected for each day, but could go up from there in the park.
But overall they were most likely less than what they will be this year.
Keep in mind, there was a platinum perk to buy a FL+ at a regular FL price, we don’t know if that will be back this year.
New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus
I'm worried about the platinum pass fast lane plus discount. The passholder rate is gone this year from all Breakers rooms (looks like its down to just Express and maybe Castaway). I've used the platinum pass fl discount 4 times a year and it's a nice savings obviously.

They had a free system for a couple years. Everyone was entitled to receive 2 handstamps, each with a ride & return window to ride. Stamps were limited and available on a first come first serve basis. The big star attractions went quick and the lines for the stamps were ridiculous sometime. I think it was called Freeway or something like that? Didn’t last long.
I’d like to see another lower tier added to the FastLame system... How about a ride each ride one time setup? Maybe it’s a book of tickets? $50 gets you one FastLane entrance to each ride, and it doesn’t necessarily have to include EVERY ride in the FL lineup?
ROUNDABOUND.
I would hate to see CP go to a Disney style system. Disney Fastpass is just a virtual queuing system that allows you to reserve ride time slots in advance for, I believe, up to three rides. The beauty of CF Fastlane is that it gives you a short line and lets you ride each ride as many times as you want, it is great for marathoning. I'd rather pay extra for Fastlane and get shorter lines all day than use a much more limited Disney Fastpass type system for free.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I agree with Pete on this 100%. I really like the Cedar Fair fast lane system overall. I think it provides good value if you are visiting a park on a busy and nice weather day. I've had some issues with how CP handles the two lines (mostly on Maverick and sometimes Valravn) but other than that I hope they keep it like it is. Of course I'd also love to see them sell less of them daily but that's highly unlikely.

Question about buying fast lane passes. Is there any way to purchase them the day-of (need the Platinum pass discount) before the park opens? Can it be purchased at the Cedar Shores gate prior to park opening for early entry while everyone is waiting for 9am to hit? I know the wristbands are no good during early entry, but it would save us time acquiring them early and already being in the back of the park for when 10a hits. Also what time does the history museum in frontier town open as I know it can be bought there as well?
Thanks!
1. You can purchase them online before the park opens, but you can't purchase them before Early Entry begins to my knowledge.
2. I think that the Town Hall Museum opens around 9:30am, as do most of the other FL locations, though I cannot confirm this as I have never bothered to check (on the rare occasions I buy FL, I always get it at the spot near Guest Services or near MF).
3. I agree that it would be convenient to get the FL passes before Early Entry to maximize ride time, but it only takes a couple minutes. My recommendation would be to ride Maverick, MF, and maybe Skyhawk from 9:00am to 9:45am, get FL near MF or at the Town Hall Museum, and be in line for SV around 9:55am.
These last 2 years I have been buying them at Speed Zone outside of the Dragster exit/station. With the Platinum Pass if you buy them inside the park you get the fast lane plus for the price of a fastlane, which is a nice discount. But if you don't have a Platinum Pass, you can just buy them at the hotel registration desk like XS said above, no problem.
