Fast Lane May 19?

I will be at CP on Saturday, May 19. I am a group tour escort, which for me is the best job in the world!

When I am escorting a group to a park, I am able to walk around and experience the rides and attractions, but at the same time I need to be available to respond if I get a call on my cell from a group member who is having a problem. So I usually avoid anything with a long line or that will otherwise make me unavailable for long periods of time.

Having said that, I am REALLY looking forward to seeing CP and riding as much as possible when I am there. I grew up in the Cincy area and worked at KI for seven seasons, all through high school and college, including as crew supervisor the first two years after the Beast was built (yes, I'm old, but I still love coasters!).

So my question for you knowledgeable folks is whether it will be advisable to purchase a Fast Lane pass for that Saturday. It's only the third day the park is open for the season, so it might not be too bad crowd-wise. Can I decide once I am in the park and buy one then? Is there any advantage to buying them ahead of time?

The only advantage to buying in advance is in the event of a sell-out. While I can't guarantee availability, I would say you'd be very safe waiting until you got to the park to decide. They will be selling Fast Lane throughout the park, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to purchase it.

Thanks, Walt! I'll just wait then and see how the crowd is. There is the ACE Convention that weekend, will that increase crowds a great deal?

Looking forward to visiting, as my last trip there was over 30 years ago!

Oops, sorry, I see that now. I was thinking more of the way Kings Island used to do it, with only weekends in the early season. Thanks for the correction!

No problem. That is one thing I like about CP's calendar. Once they are open they are open, no closed days.

SueGee, I am going to Cedar Point on the 17th and 18th, have already purchased the Fast Pass for the Friday because there might be high schools at the park and being my groups first time there we want to enjoy as much as we can.

Is this your first time to the park, if so you might just want to spend the cash and have fun with no worries.
