Fast Lane

Have looked at all the accommodation options at Cedar Point Resorts and none appeal to me. Reviews seem to suggest they are overpriced and majority need an update. We were only interested in staying at one of these to have access to the Early Entry into Cedar Point. Are we better to stay somewhere cheaper and purchase the Fast Lane tickets (can't seem to find the price for these on the web page) We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (12&15years) and are only in Sandusky for 3 days in late September. We are travelling from Australia and really want to make the most of the time we have at Cedar Point and experience as many rides as we can.

You are coming in late September that will be Halloweekends and the park will be very crowded. Since you are coming all the way from Australia and only have one day I would stay at a cheaper hotel and buy Fast Lane. Expensive yes, but worth it.

And welcome to our corner of the world.

Yes, you should get Fast Lane, and during Halloweekends I think they cost anywhere from $80 to $110 depending on the day and if you want Fast Lane plus.

I recommend you go on Sunday during the Halloweekends season if you want to get the best riding experience. By time 7 o'clock rolls around, the park appears to be dead. Dragster is a complete walk on, Maverick's line starts at the bottom of the stairs that lead to the station, and Millennium's line starts half way up the ramp leading to the station. I have yet to do Fast Lane since we always know when to avoid the park due to the crowd, but it would definitely up your chances of getting on every thing you want to ride.

The last few weeks of Halloweekends some rides will close, such as Mean Streak.

Mean Streak closing early hasn't happened in at least two years. I can't think of anything else that has shut down early in recent years, aside from the water rides.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
