"Best of 1999- Music Club" Nightclub & Bar Magazine
I'm not familiar with the restaurant, does anyone know if Dave's BBQs feature entertainment, and are we finally getting a nightclub for some after hours adult fun?

Please tell me that they don't sing YMCA, or for that matter ANY JR music.

But Famous Dave's sounds awesome. Looking forward to the fine addition to the Point. Boathouse struggled, IMO, with their menu. I think this helps a lot.

I wasn't naming the five sauces because I don't know the names of them. I was just giving you an idea. The sauces have some odd names.

They have great ribs with lots of other southern style food and sandwiches. The five sauces are Rich and Sassy, Devil's Spit, Texas Pit, Georgia Mustard, and Sweet and Zesty. Their creamy chicken and wild rice soup is terrific and the deserts are out of this world. My favorite is the bread pudding. I hope Dave's adds sweet potato fries to their menu. That was a great Boathouse treat.
There used to be a Dave's BBQ and Blues in Downtown Chicago. It would be great if they had Live E here at the Point.

Never heard of Famous Dave's let alone eatin' there. Anyone who has been to a Famous Dave's how does it compare with Tony Roma's? Prices?------------------
Tony Romas is a nicer setting. Famous Daves has a rustic laid back feel. But, in my opinion, the food is just as good, if not better. As far as prices go, they range a lot. I often get the rib tips platter for about 8.50 (probably will be like 12 bucks at a park, lol). That platter is way too much food for me. I think most couples could split most of their platters. They also have a basket option which has all the meat and less sides for less money. Still enough for a meal, I think. It should be a very nice addition to CP. I have a takeout menue somewhere if you have any specific questions.
(The sweet potato fries at the Thirsty Pony, down at the end of the Causeway, are decent but not great.)
