Famous Daves is absolutely amazing! I ate there tonight as a matter of fact. Myself, I'm a huge fan of the Dave's Favorite Burger. My family and I love it so much, we've driven out to the one near Clevelend a few times during the winter.

Famous Daves at Cedar Point is slightly more expensive than the FD here in Toledo, but comparable to other restaurants in the park. I ate at the FD at CP for the first time last summer and I personally thought the food was quite good. They just opened a FD here in Toledo last month and after having FD a few more times and comparing it to the BBQ from Smokey Bones, Chilis, Damons, and Shortys (Toledo), I can say that I think FD is the best of all of them. I generally get the 1/2 BBQ chicken, but I have found other things I like as well. About the only thing that I don't care for at FD is the catfish fingers. I like fish, but those just weren't very appealing to me.
I just thought I'd throw this out there as an FYI, but if you take your parking ticket into the restaurant with you at either Famous Daves, Bay Harbor, or Breakwater, you can actually get your parking "validated". Basically they subtract $8.50 (parking minus toll) from your bill as long as it is over $25 excluding alcohol. This is really to encourage locals to eat at the out-of-park restaurants, but you can take advantage of it too if you ask.

I thought the Panini was very good, I would have one again next time I'm at CP. What they should do though is expand and spice up the menu a bit. This is my idea of an island Panini: marinated grilled chicken, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers and Jamaican jerk sauce. Mmmm....
Oh, see, now that sounds good. I'm not sure about the red peppers for me, though. I would rather some banana peppers on there for some extra kick. Then again, the jerk sauce would add that.
I've been back a couple of times since opening, and HH has never ben open so I haven't been able to sample anything else - except the bud light, of course :-). It would be nice to see more than just the Panini and Pizza on the menu.

I'd rather go for the red peppers. Banana peppers are less flavorful and more spicyful. Hot is not a flavor.
They're opening one up in Novi, MI soon where a Grady's American Grill used to be.
I've heard a lot of good things about the chain from people on here and I can't wait to try it for myself.

When you have 2 mainstream joints to choose from where you get sit down service with a good choice of beverages, Famous Daves seems to be the best value on the point. Good atmosphere. Fridays seems to have a very dry atmosphere in comparison with Dave's. We have been hitting Dave's for the past 2 years and will continue. The menu is just like Fridays. Take the price you would pay outside the park and multiply it be 1.5
Not too fond of the CP markup, but its the best you'll do without leaving the park.

The menu is most certainly not like Friday's. There's a lot more variety on the Friday's menu, not to mention a lot of healthier options.

I do. I just can't eat like a moron anymore and get away with it. My body gets pissed off and the weight starts to come back.
