Famous Dave's

Anyone have a link to their menu with prices?

Last year they had a link with their take out menu, this year all I can find is the menu items listed without prices.

Is this a good place for Take out? Staying at LP and trying to find something different for dinner.

Thanks!

I'm sure the take out is fine, although you might miss mixing it up with the 6 different BBQ sauces.

I went last year, with a party of 7 and the tab was slightly under $150 so don't sweat the prices.

Enjoy :)

The food there is awsome.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The food is OK. It's far more expensive than it would be in a non-park location. It's your typical "bar food."

There is a Famous Daves on the West side of Cleveland. In my opinion it's one of the best BBQ places out there. The only place I can remember getting better was in Atlanta, GA. The menu isn't very big, but it doesn't need to be.

Jumping on Jeff's statement. - Pretty typical "bar food".

Famous Dave's can't hold a candle to Smokey Bones.

I guess taste, much like beauty, is in the "eye" of the beholder, because I found Famous Dave's to be far superior to Smokey Bones.

Although both are bad imitations of real BBQ, which you can find at the Rib Burn Off in Cleveland on Memorial Day weekend.

I also found Famous Dave's far superior to Smokey Bones.

The pricing at the CP location isn't that bad, only about a dollar or two more per entree than the Famous Dave's in Cleveland.

Oh man, you want to talk real BBQ? There was a tent that came to town last year with ribs and chicken that was a 3-time winner of the St. Louis rib cook-off.

The most amazing BBQ I have ever had.

But yeah, the imitations at FD, Damons, and SB aren't even close.

Also, Pete - I saw you grabbing a Panini at Hurricane Hannah's this weekend right after I had one. What did you think of it? My first one was frozen in the middle, so they gave me another one plus a free drink. Once I got a good one, I thought it was pretty tasty.

I was at FD's on Sunday. The food I ordered was okay tasting but very greasy, I'm pretty sure it wasn't smoked, and the service was seriously lacking.

It's gonna be a long time before I step anywhere near Famous Daves. Like when really hot places freeze over.

Other than Kleat's I've never had BBQ like that at any bar. If you have, please let me know, because I would love to go there.

If your talking about price, I'd have to agree that Smokey Bones have much better pricing, but (imo) their food sux. Famous Daves food (imo) blows away anything you can get at Smokey Bones.

I was at Famous Daves on Sunday too. I had to tell the waitress to frequent our table to keep my boyfriends coffee cup full, which she did after I told her to. I enjoyed my hamburger, my boyfriend thought his burger was dry, so he added some of their sauce to it.

A manager stopped by all the tables to make sure everything was okay with the guests.

For our 2 burgers (he got the one with cheese and bacon, I got a plain California burger), his coffee and my Mountain Dew, the bill was just over $22.00.

Famous Daves has great food. Prices arent to bad either. Great place to eat while at Cedar Point.

Famous Dave's is awesome...I'd eat there every week if I had the money...last year I ate there about 8 or 9 times. Their Devil Spit burger was awesome. That, along with fries, was 9.95. I also had, on occasion, a hot brownie made with Kahlua. That was awesome, too. With this, the burger, a drink, and the tip, it came out to about $18-20. Yes, it's steep, but once in a while, it's very nice.

Also, remember that many prices came down this year. Not sure if Famous Dave's was affected, but still, it's pretty good.

Not to be confused with Twisted Wicker 08 from 2002

I ate at Famous Dave's on Sunday for lunch, and man, those were the best rib tips I have ever had. The sauce was really good and thick too. I thought the prices were pretty average for a BBQ joint. Texas Roadhouse, Logan's, Famous Dave's, all are about the same price give or take a buck or two, and all serve really good BBQ items.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Considering you can eat there while at Cedar Point, I think the prices are very reasonable. My buddy and I at at the Midway market Saturday. We enjoyed it and definatly ate our moneys worth, but it was over $30 for the 2 of us. Had I known it was going to be that much, we probably would have eaten at Famous Daves.

I love FD as well! I have never had bad food there. I ost generally get the rib tip appetizer. Which is now $7.99. Sounds expensive. But when you are full after that, I don't complain. I can spend that much at McDonalds and still be hungry.

As for service. I've only had real bad service once. Other than that they are good. Sometimes they are a little slow at start. I ate there about 20 times last year.

Thanks for the info.....

We will be at LP for four nights, probably grill two nights, Bay Harbor one night, and Fridays for lunch on the two days we get Starlight Admission. Famous Daves will probably fill in the fourth night.

It will be nice to try something new. Would you pick Famous Daves over the Italian place in the Breakers or the restaurant in Sandcastle?

Yes, for sure.

I thought the Panini was very good, I would have one again next time I'm at CP. What they should do though is expand and spice up the menu a bit. This is my idea of an island Panini: marinated grilled chicken, pepper jack cheese, roasted red peppers and Jamaican jerk sauce. Mmmm....
