Family Pass Thru?

What does Cedar Point do for a family that has a child who stands in line with the family who isn't tall enough for the ride?

It's called Parent Swap. Be sure to stop by Park Operations (located next to Kiddy Kingdom) and pick up the booklet you will need. The way it works is one parent waits with the child while the rest of the group rides. Upon exit, you get the booklet signed by a ride host, give that to the person waiting with the child, and the person who waited goes up the exit ramp to ride. I believe they can bring one other person to ride with them.

Children who are not tall enough to ride are not permitted in the line, so it's not possible to have everyone wait together and then have someone pass through the train with the child.

Parent Swap was awesome. We couldn't have been more happy with it as well as most of the employees were great to work with. Certain rides worked better than others, but for the most part you are crazy not to do it with little ones in your party.

If you are riding Maverick, take the train to kill some time. If you are riding Millinium Force, take a walk through Frontier Town.
