Extra Stuff at Wardrobe

How much is everything that is standard to buy at wardrobe for Ride Ops? Do I really need to buy a belt? and if you didn't read my previous post, how much are the shoes? Should I buy them myself beforehand? Just trying to figure out what to expect when I get there and they start telling me I need to buy all this stuff... I'm really trying to save money this summer.

These prices are estimated and based on the prices from last year as well.

Rain suit: $20, Blue (smurf) suit: $50 (30 jacket, 20 pants). Hat: $5, Belt is around $5 I think, but I didnt get one. Their Shoes are $20 I think.

Rain suit is a MUST. The smurf suit, if you are there in the early or late part of th season, you need it, or you will freeze. Hat, up to you. Belt, you have to have a belt, I'm not sure if you have to have their belt or not. (I think last year you had to have a brown or black belt, or buy their blue one). For shoes, buy your own before you get to CP, wear them for a while to get them broken in. CP shoes are rumored to be very cheap quality and to fall apart. And even if they arent, you can get a decent pair of shoes for about that price anyways if you look around. They will get torn up, so dont go buy that pimp pair of all white Jordans for $120. Buy the most comfortable shoes you can find, you will be standing up in them for up to 15 (or more) hours in a day.

I think that is all.

Thanks, so if I'm processing in this friday then I need a smurf suit? I couldn't wear my own clothes underneath the rain suit for added warmth? ;-) I think I'll bring my own belt just in case, lol... and I think the concensus is to buy my own shoes (as I thought it might, lol), unfortunately I don't really have time to break them in first, there are no shoe stores (except wal-mart) here by my school, and I'll have time on thursday to go get them, and then I process in on friday, lol... so that's the best I can do o:)

I see everyone saying that a rain suit is a must. Is this just for ride ops? I'll be in merchandise, should I get one too?

22 for the shoes, and they are actually better than last years shoes (from the beginning of the season at least) they are good as a cheap back up pair of shoes and thats about it. In merch, i wouldnt call it a requirement, but remember you may have to walk to the front of the park from emporium (right by meanstreak) late at night in the rain you might want one then, also if you get a cart position then you would surely want one then

I guess this is why CP pays $.50 higher to new hires than Knotts, they gave us all this stuff for free, with the exception of shoes, which the park sells us for $12 and they're great.
I would suggest getting some of those Dr. Scholes gell inserts. Buy your shoes a little big to make room for them. Those things made a world of difference for me.
