Everyone remembers their firsts

If we're going to be techincal, than my first roller coaster was Demon Drop. Not bad. It was so quick I couldn't realize how scared I was. My older bro, sis and father went on the Magnum(first year it openend) next and they talked about it the whole day! I was only 7 and I had no intentions of getting on it. As it got late, we decided to take one more ride. My mom (usually supportive of my cowardice to the Magnum up until then) called me a crybaby for not going on it. So I got in line. No big deal.Til I got to the platform. I was so scared. It was big and it was now nightime. When we pulled out, I deprately look for my mom down on the plaza for reassurance. Didn't see her. As we went up and up, my older brother just kept saying "Uh oh" Since I couldn't see over the person's head in front of me, I thought that meant we were going over. So I started screaming like 15 seconds too early. By the time we went down, I was out of breath! When we pulled out the last tunnel, the first thing I saw was my mom standing in the plaza. Boy she was laughing at my terrified face. Since then, it's been no fear. :D
First off let me tell you that I am deathly afraid of height. Can't even climb a ladder. So bright and early first day in sandusky and we are in line...magnum doesnt look so tall when you stand beneath it...but on the way up the hill im looking dead ahead and thinking we should be at least half way up so i look to the side and wouldn't ya know, we were only half way up and I started to shake and was very scared. But after it was over i loved every second and rode it many more times on that trip
