Sounds like Kinzel spends most of his time at Maverick and Fridays....
Cedar Point is undoubtedly amazing.
I met Kinzel a few seasons ago when Jeff and crew recorded the CoasterBuzz podcast at CP. He was a very nice person.
I also saw him last season at the Halloweekends parade and he was mad as hell, yelling into a walkie!! I didn't bother him at the time - I just smiled and thought of how lucky I was that I wasn't on the recieving end of that message.
Also, I was working at KI last summer and he stopped by a few times and I saw him in passing.

He may not carry one, but I have seen him use one. Last season (2006, I'm still stuck in 2007 for some reason), actually. He was walking with a group of execs, they stopped, someone pulled out a walkie, and proceeded to say a few things. After he was done, they went on their way, and Kinzel resumed using his cell phone.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I rode next to him on his first ride of "Skyhawk" on media day back in '06, we chatted a bit in line before hand (I think Walt had a picture of us on here at one point actually). Then when I started working there after high school that summer he remembered me and the conversation, I thought it was pretty cool. (as geeky as that sounds)
So the general manager/vp/whatever of Cedar Point doesn't carry a walkie so therefore he doesn't use one? Good logic there, I'd say. Whatever...

First of all Dick is not the General manager/vp/whatever........he is the CEO and hey, I just ran into Dick just now at Fridays and he said he never carried or used a walkie...............oooooooooooooo.............what now...............OMG my BFF Jill.
Watever...
I met Mr. Dick Kinzel last year September 3rd of last year. I remember it well. I was meeting up with Adam(TTD120) and we hung out for most of the afternoon and later on they did their own thing with the photo excitement of Maverick. Well I went to the front of the park to ride a few rides up front. Well I thought it would be a great idea to ride Demon Drop because I thought it would be the last season for it and the fact that it only had a 5 minute wait. I ended up riding it, but got stuck on the top and had to be escorted off the ride. When I got to the bottom they gave me 3 free rides of my choice where I could go up the exit and not have to wait.
I choose Millennium Force, Maverick, and then Top Thrill Dragster. I rode these coasters in the order I mentioned. I'm going to fast forward to Maverick. When I got to the exit ramp of Maverick they told me I had to wait a couple trains and then I was let on. Sure enough Dick Kinzel was standing right there watching on and that's when I asked "Are you him"? I told him how excited I was to meet him and how much of a fan I was of his. He asked me what I thought of Maverick and I said. One of the best damn investments you've made for Cedar Point. I told him my favorite was Millennium Force. He then told me about his favorite experience from Millennium Force when he first rode it. I don't remember what he said about it but I know he said it was a great ride. After I rode Maverick, I ended up catching up with him again by Gemini. I talked to him for a couple of minutes and told him it was great to meet you and hope to see you in 2008.
And to end this post I did end up catching up with Adam and a couple of his friends again when I reached Top Thrill Dragster. We rode that and a couple other rides and called it a day. One of my most memorable Cedar Point visits that I'll never forget!
I've met him in the employee cafeteria. A few summers back I was standing in line for lunch, and I was just minding my own business, when I noticed the gentleman standing right beside me was wearing a jacket that was'nt the usual Cedar Point jackets that most employees wear. When he turned twards me, it was Mr Kinzel!! He said hi, how are you? I told him fine, how are you? He said I'm fine, and that was about it. He is a very nice person, but very busy. When I was one of the team leaders in the Pagoda gift shop, the Vice President, and General Manager of Cedar Point John Hildebrandt stopped in, and that was really exciting, not to mention very nerve racking.
