According to someone on the GOCC Campout FB events page they will also be contacting people next week as well. I sure hope this means I have a call/e-mail in my future.
So even if we haven't received the email yet, it could still be possible to get one in the next few days?

You get a 10x10 space whether you indicated 1 or 4, so I'm guessing it won't be a big deal. Again, this is a guess.
This is your dream come true? I get it's exciting, but...really?
Thank you guys for your responses.
It's just an expression. But it will certainly be my best vacation this summer. As a poor college kid I don't go on many trips, so I'm more than excited to spend some extra time in the park hanging out with my family. I forget all the stress of everyday crap when I'm there, when my only concern is what ride are we riding next?? So yeah, I'm excited.
HEY!! I got an email from CP saying I was picked for the Coaster Campout as well. According to my email, they said they had opened up additional camping spaces and that I was picked in the second round lottery! So, I'm wondering where they're gonna set up these "additional" camping spaces. And I was thinking, 10x10 is not really a big area to set up a tent. Me and my best friend are gonna be kinda cramped in that small of tent...oh well...I'm still stoked. This is gonna be fun!!

I was also wondering this, especially if they are on pavement, since I'm pretty sure my tent uses stakes.

Really? A 10 x 10 square is a rather large space. Have you ever slept in a tent? I have a 6 x 9 foot tent, and it easily sleeps myself and two others, with all of our gear. We could fit 4, but that'd be a little tight.
And seeing as they're trying to get as many people in there as they can, they have to put some sort of limitation on it.

Coco, I'm pretty sure I heard that the campsites will be in the grass of the antique cars infield or nearby grass, so no worries about tent stakes.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

That's what I figured. I only mentioned it because someone the GOCC facebook mentioned that they got picked because they added more spots on the concrete to accommodate more guests. But I'm guessing they just don't know what they are talking about because I'm pretty sure no one's email said that.
We'll find out soon enough.

My entire bedroom in my house is barely 10x10. I suppose for people who own tents that look like miniature canvas houses that might not be enough space but mine would fit in that amount of space with room to spare.
Update on what we're doing: the grassy area that we set aside (inside Antique Cars) is now full. So, instead of just shutting the event off at capacity, we're offering "on the midway" camping for the remaining people who were chosen.
We are contacting those individuals this week and will be giving them the option.
Remember, even if you don't get chosen to camp, you can still take part in the ERT, as long as you're registered.
If you registered for a campsite and were not chosen, you don't have to register twice.

^^^^ So, we'll be setting up our tents on concrete than?
No, there's plenty of grass on the midway up by Raptor.
I Believe they will restrict camping to the rear section of the park by the grass area they have already designated. It's not the greatest to camp on concrete but it's nice they have expanded to allow more guests.
Thanks for clarifying Tony. So it sounds like if our email came last week, then we were picked for the original spots. Not that it really matters to me anyway, I'm just excited to be going!
