Event overload!

I'm looking forward to the events Cedar Point has planned this year. I've never done it, but I know that Kings Island has done overnight camping in the park for boy scout groups in the past so this should be similar. "Be Prepared " for fun.

Well it seems like if they do too much you have naysayers and too little you have the same naysayers.

It is nice to see a nice variety of events scheduled nicely throughout the year.

By the way, if you intend to join CoasterBuzz Club for membership, please don't wait until the last minute. Your card has to be mailed from Florida, and I think the USPS is busy hanging out at the pool down here. Join early, join often!

A lottery? Yikes, hope I get a chance to experience this. If not, I'm fine with just participating in the event.

Yeah, lottery. Fair enough. I hope they confirm selected campers sooner rather than later though. I like to reserve backup reservations a the hotel if I need to.

I understand it to mean the campsites are at a lottery, not necessarily participation in the rest of the event activites.

Not to say that's not the coolest thing about this. Really, all you need is a couple sleeping bags minimum. I'm sure the Frontier Lift restrooms will be available all night.

The campout event is 2 days before my birthday, so I am super excited for the activities. Can't think of a much better way to spend that weekend!

Just registered and hope we're picked! I've dreamed about doing something like this since I was a kid. We used to camp at Camper Village but now that I'm an adult we don't have a camper so tent camping in the park could not compare to anything I've ever experienced! :)

I'm counting my lucky stars because I got a spot for the campout! Can check this off my bucket list. :)

I just got an email that we got a campsite for the Camp Out! My 6 year old is going to think this is the coolest thing ever (ok, so do I).

I still have yet to hear anything...I really hope I get in.

According to someone on the GOCC Campout FB events page they will also be contacting people next week as well. I sure hope this means I have a call/e-mail in my future.

Has anyone confirmed their entry yet by calling? I got the email today, so excited!!! BUT, I only originally said for 2 people, and the person I was taking can longer go. However, my sister and brother in law are available that weekend instead.
So the question is, has anyone confirmed with CP for an extra person? I'm not sure if they just did so many campsites or if they also went by how many people would be attending. We would all be in the same camp site still. I'm only wondering because I'm really excited and it looks like the phone line to call isn't open until Tuesday next week and waiting is torture. This is pretty much my dream come true, and I'm be really bummed if I end up not having any one to go with me.

They want you to call just to verify your info. I called earlier and I was told that they are sending more information to the emails of those who got a spot. I was told that it will explain the rules (what to bring, etc) and something, for whoever is in your group, to sign. Also, if there are changes in who is going with you (or you can't go), they're asking for an advanced notice so they can notify those who are on the wait list.

Guess you guys are going to have to put up with my snoring! I got selected as well. This is going to be a great event.

You get a 10x10 space whether you indicated 1 or 4, so I'm guessing it won't be a big deal. Again, this is a guess.
