Environmental Services folks, tell me everything

This is for the sweeps, restrooms attendants and group utility. I'd love to hear how everything's going this season.

I worked as a sweep (base-rate, ATL and TL) over the summers of 2003, '04 and '05. It has come to my understanding, though I may be mistaken, that certain things happened for the '05 season because of budget cuts. Things like fewer team leaders and one fewer zone.

Can anyone working in the department tell me how things are going? Has anything changed? I heard the uniforms are different. How so? How is it working in an entire area instead of being split into zones? How are the rove sheets written?

And tell me some stories. I really miss Cedar Point, and I've really just love to get an update.

Sweeps got new uniforms just before I left. They're a little more professional looking now, and probably a bit hotter. Though I never got to ask any of my friends about it that were working as sweeps.

I don't remember Group Utility Uniforms from 2003, but this year I got to work as GU breifly before they let me go. :( The uniform I had was a Maroon top, with dark pants.

Dave said we were rather understaffed for third shift, but seemed to be running smoothly. Didn't quite grasp how the zoning worked out, so I couldn't comment on that. And other than Upper Management being on a hair trigger, things seem to be going well so far.

I visited the park yesterday and the sweeps are wearing the same khaki shorts like we used to, and a very ugly looking yellow button down shirt. They look extremely hot and uncomfortable. Restroom attendants had on our old uniforms. Didn't notice Group U. It also didn't look like there were many sweeps, and while I understand it was hot, none of them looked happy to be there. Just an observation...

What!!! No more orange hotpants??? Darn!! Yeah, I'm old...
