Employment Questions...please help

I am thinking about working at CP next season but I have a few concerns...first...I see you have to pay for your own food and housing....with these extra costs do you still seem to have adequate profit to be actually "making money". Second, i see that you work 50-60 hours a week...do you ever have time to spend in the park relaxing, and how many days off do u recieve. Finally is the park ever open to just employees, like late at night...any help is appreciated...

Housing is around $32 for the most expensive place. Food is dirt cheap a full meal will cost around $3.00. 1 day off a week. The park is open to employees at night on ride nights. You can "relax" in the park on your day off, or if you have a short shift. But the cool thing is that you can just walk around the park at all hours of the night. Can't sleep, take a walk through the park.
Yes, you do have to pay for your own food and housing, housing is pretty cheap depending on where you live, it varies from 16.80 a week to 35ish a week. Food is pretty cheap in the employee cafe which you can eat in at any time, even off duty. You will make money, depending on how much and how hard you party. You will have time to play in the park, but you probably won't want to, you will want to get out of the park. Days off are usually one or two depending on the staffing and attendance. Various parts of the park are open to employees on employee ride nights. Its a lot of fun if you make it fun, and you can make a lot of money if you're smart and careful ;)
Well Im not planning on being a big partier...or is that impossible at CP?

Yes Coastfreak, you will be able to make a lot of money, (as long as you don't spend it all ;o) Yes, you've got to pay for food and housing, but I don't know of any other place that is cheaper than Cedar Point when it comes to that kind of thing. It only costs around $100 a month for board, and that includes all utilities. (Well, not every building exactly has all utilities, but you get water and electricity at the very least). The food is very cheap as well, so as long as you put all of your checks into a direct-deposit account, they will add up. If you are not a party person, that is fine, no one can force you to be. It is just with all of the employees living together, it always seems like a party atmosphere, and after working hard all day, most people like to have a lot of fun to compensate for it. But to answer your question, yes, it is possible to live at cedar point and not be a party animal :) There is a lot of fun stuff to do that doesn't require money.

You can find time to relax and hang out in the park, but usually after having to work in the park just about everyday, you'll want to spend your time off somewhere else...but it is fun to get a chance to ride all those rides every once and awhile :)
