yes and no, Rides do need to be test rode in the morning and thats usually done by people on that rides crew. After work there are sometime nights known as a "ride night". This is a night to where a few rides stay open. Usually its two or three rides and employees are able to ride those for a few hours.

You can test ride the ride you are working, and on occasion, when its cold out, people are pulled to fill seats on rides that have trouble running properly in cooler temperatures. Like sometimes, sweeps have been pulled off the midway to test ride raptor, so there is enough weight on the train to prevent it from rolling back. Ride nights are once a week. If its larger ride, then that will be the only ride open, which would be most of the roller coasters. But for smaller rides like Disaster Transport and Maxair, they may do their ride night together. And ride nights run for one hour, from start. Which typically start is after the regular day guests have cleared the line.
we get free admission into the park...so we can get in at the early open time if not sooner, you can take advantage of this and ride a few rides before you have to work and before there are lines
one of my ATLs last year rode Raptor 3 times before clocking in at 9:25
