Employee Wages

I am applying for summer positions at Cedar Point. This is my first employment with them. What wages can I expect? Also, how many hours per day/week can I expect? A lot of overtime pay? I know it may vary between positions, but can some of you throw out some numbers of various jobs?

base rats is $7.30 I think, and no overtime at all. you can work up to 80 hrs per week depending on department and need.

yeah cj is right about base rate it on your contract

yep, I'm a sweep, and I am getting 7.30 an hour, with on average 50-65 hours a week

Each dept is different, and depending on the type of job you were, most jobs are base pay but there is other jobs that are a dollar or 2 more an hour that are not management roles .
There is no over time CP is exempt from paying employees over time because they are sesonal, however, if you work at Breakers Express or Castaway, U will not work more then 40 hours because they are required to pay over time even though they are owned by cedar fair, they are off the point

Everybody is right about the base rate pay of $7.30 per hour. The hours you get per week depend not only on your department, but also on attendence. In the early part of the season, you may not get a lot of hours, because most people don't go on vacation in May and June. The park really gets busy in July and August, and that's when you'll probably get a lot of hours. Opening day is typically a busy one, so that weekend most people will work long hours. If you want extra hours after you've worked your regular schedule in your department, you can always call the extra hours hotline, to see if other departments need help.
