Employee Discounts?

do employees get discounts on park tickets and if so about how much money are they after the discount. Also do we get discounts on merchandise in any of the gift shops???

Last year, after the four freebies, tix were 30 bucks each. Tickets raised 95 cents this year, but I'm not sure about employee discounted tix.

I think it was every Friday from like 11-12 (maybe 2) we got a discount in the Pagoda Gift Shop. Never really helped me out since I was working at that time (as most people are), but it's still something.

That's the only discount we get on merchandise? Not to sound kinda mean, but it seams like there would be more!! Oh well!!!

You'll actually find that some of the best discounts we get actually come from various other Sandusky businesses. I think it makes up for CP's lack of such.

Merchandise discounts last year were in Pagoda and Snoopy. I believe in HR there are gonna be a little piece of paper where in Sandusky and who will give us a discount and when they give the discount. I believe last year master cuts gave Cedar Point employees a 10% discount on hair cuts.

For this year everyone knows on Thurdays and Fridays, between Memorial Day and Labor Day. We will recieve a 25% discount at Pagoda Gift Shop, Cedar Creek Trading Company, and Surf Shop in Soak City. It will be only during certain hours though but what hours I have no idea.

When you process in, you can pick up a decent-sized flyer called the Employee Discount Guide. This lists the area businesses that offer discounts to Cedar Point employees, the terms of the discount (usually you have to present your Cedar Point ID before making a purchase), and the address and phone number of the business. In years past, there have been quite a number of discounts available, from fun things to do in the area and restaurants to hair care and auto service. It is highly worth your while to check out the discount guide and plan with it when going out to eat with friends or arranging an excursion off-Point. It can save you quite a few bucks in your search for entertainment.

Now if only the Point could make a discount arrangement with Meijer, Wal-mart or Best Buy...

I want to get a few days in at the park before I actually check in for work. And I want to go to Valleyfair in my hometown maybe in the spring. Can I do this for free?

I don't believe you can do that untill you start working. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe you can use your ID to get into the other Cedar Fair parks during the dates of your employment.

SCarolina is right, you cannot get into the park for free until you start work and have your ID.
