So on the CP jobs page, it says that some of the benefits of being a CP employee include bus trips to New York and other places. Has anyone here ever done this? If so, what's it like?
I did an employee trip to Kennywood a couple of years ago, and it was a lot of fun. I don't know anyone who's done the other trips, but I've seen flyers for trips to NY, DC, and Chicago. The trip I went on was somewhere around $30/person.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I know the trips to Niagara Falls is a pretty big seller. I also did a trip to Kennywood when I worked there and it was alot of fun.
GO IRISH!!
Since I live in Chicago, I took advantage of the Chicago bus trips just for a chance to go home for a few hours. Just was sad they couldn't figure out an overnight thing for it so I could enjoy the night life. After all, these big cities, the night life is half the excitement. Granted on CP pay, most can't afford a night in the big city.
I know the dc trip had a stay over, but was during the halloweekends. not sure on the others.

Yeah you work 6 days a week, and they know that so the trips are limited to day trips. For the most part I am usually so worn out that I just want to stay at home and refresh rather than take a trip that will probably get me back home extremely late so I have to work the next day with little sleep!
Plus they only have a few trips every season, and very few of them fell on my day off.
