Employee attitude

I have been a season pass holder for 10 years and have been going to the park for longer than that. I have always enjoyed myself and understand the workload that the employees have with the volume of customers. I have been to the park about 10 times this year and have had several negative experiences regarding employees. They seem very rude and short with customers. My experiences have been on the Mantis and the Mean Streak. I was just wondering if anyone else felt a change in the attitude this year? Maybe it's just me......?

^I feel the same way with the ride hosts. They used to be really nice but now they really are douches. Here and there I have found great ride hosts who are amazing with the customers. Blue Streak, Disaster Transport, & Iron Dragon have been doing great this year. I am impressed on how nice the ops are, they are efficient, and courteous. The worst this year IMO would be Maverick(being the worst roller coaster), Corkscrew, and Turnpike Cars(the rudest of any ride). It is not acceptable on how much rudeness is in the air around that ride. There is some blond girl on that ride who thinks she can boss around the guests and ride ops.

I am very impressed on the concession workers and sweeps this year. The park looks very clean, they all are courteous, and they are asking how the guests day have been going.

Last but not least, the Entertainment workers have been the nicest people I have seen. All Wheels Extreme being the best.

I haven't really noticed any rudeness this year, everyone I've encountered has been pretty nice. Not Holiday World nice by any means, but certainly not rude. I've seen a couple of ride ops who were "firm" with guests who were being complete a-holes, but I certainly don't consider that to be the same as rude.

I haven't seen any drop in employee attitudes this year. Most of the ride ops do a very good job of being courteous and friendly. Same with the sweeps. (I love talking to sweeps; they know everything and will let you know they know. ;)) If there is any area where an attitude adjustment is in order, I'd have to say it's in food services -- specifically at the concession stands. Of course, I can't really blame them for having a bad disposition. After all, they're working in...well, food services. That sort of thing can make anyone grumpy.

Some employees will be rude coming up in a few months here, but then we are allowed :-)

I havn't noticed rudeness this year in the workers at all, most crews are always awesome.

And if the Mean Streak workers were rude, whats the difference they only see 3 guests a day...

I have noticed some questionable attitude and behavior on Raptor and Mantis this year (respectively). We were waiting to get on Mantis earlier this year and one of the male ride ops was picking up one of the female ride ops and carrying her around the platform. Seemed like a safety issue as well as unprofessional behavior IMO. They have seemed not as friendly on Mantis this year as opposed to previous years. Had a ride op on Raptor earlier this year that was VERY rude and sarcastic with riders. The crew on Raptor this year hasn't been as friendly or enthusiastic as past years as well. On the other hand, the ride ops on MF, MaXair, Skyhawk, Wicked Twister and Maverick (the times we ride Maverick) have all been great. Maybe it has something to do with being on the "big rides" as opposed to those that don't seem to see as many riders.

I do know that if you take a complaint or compliment to Park Ops, they do seem to follow up on it. Having in-laws who work at CP, I can say that they DO follow through either way when it comes to employee issues, be it a good or bad experience.

I should take this time to note that during my visit to the park yesterday evening (7-28) the Blue Streak crew was awesome. I rode twice at different times, and both times they were incredibly enthusiastic in getting the guests excited for the ride, while at the same time being faster than I'd ever seen at that ride. They consistently nailed interval after interval.
