Hey I have been reading and a lot of people have been talking about an ejector seat, what is that? Also, is air time that wierd feeling you get in your stomach when you go down?

raptor + magnum = 3
The ejector seat is the one with good airtime I think.
Yes airtime is the feeling you get down the hill and over hops and hills. Basically it's the feeling of weightlessness.
The ejector seat is car one, row three on Magnum. That seat provides the most airtime.
Airtime is
not the the feeling in your stomach. Airtime is when riders a free from the forces of gravity and it feels like you are floating.

Air Time to me is that weird felling and it is when the coaster goes over a hill and if there wasn't a restriant, good luck staying in the car. Air time is when your body comes out of your seat. But I don't know what an ejector seat is. I even get that weird feeling in a car on some hills.
The ejector seat on Magnum doesn't give "floating" airtime but rather pretty violent airtime to the point of hurting your legs. I like MF's airtime much better where you just hover out of the seat and not get "ejected." But yeah, if you want to test how tough your thighs are, 1-3 on Magnum is the seat for you! :)

Trim brakes-a necessity???
Can't wait till my June 16-18 trip!
In years past, the lapbar has hurt my legs on Magnum, but not this year. Maybe it's because it's the beginning of the season...
The Ejector Seat is great, you've gotta try it... sure it may leave you with some aching thighs, but the airtime is CRAZY!
Plus on the third hill in the Ejector Seat, I don't find it to be the "violent type" airtime. That and the third hill of MF are my favorite places to get airtime.

I remember in 1998 when I did a photo shoot for Magnum. We did not think it would last very long so myself and my roommate sat in the ejector seat. Fourteen trips later we were in pain. It was fun but I had bruises for a week!!
The ejector seat usually has one of the lowest waits of the entire train because of its proximity to the front seat which obscures it.

I need a vacation to recuperate from my trip reports.
Dammit! Somebody delete that post! ;) LOL!
Actually, the ejector seat is two seats from the back. CRAZY air time. ;) Sit there! You won't find a better seat on the ride!

No, the ejector seat is 1-3. Definitely the most ejector air on the ride. Had 20 rides on Magnum at Coastermania, and 1-3 definitely had the most air.
Agreed. There is no comparison to car 1, row 3. I have a couple of on-ride photos that confirm it. If there's a better seat on the planet, I have yet to be ejected from it. :)

No question 1-3 gives great, albeit painful ejector air. I know I am about to speak sacrelage, but for better ejector air, nothing beats Superman Ride of Steel(3rd hill and last 3 dips-the last of which actually DID throw someone out of the train-he survived). Don't get me wrong, Magnum is great, but S:RoS makes every effort to remove you from the train, with the added bonus of not making your thighs black and blue.

If it isn't making your thighs black and blue, I don't believe it's putting forth enough effort to throw you out of the train.

Darien's S:ROS is a very close second for me. True, it has great ejector air, but it's not quite as *explosive* as Magnum's airtime. To me, Maggie just seems more angry than Superman.
Another reason why I prefer Magnum is that I've never had a problem with pain or bruising as long as I'm not stapled . . and I haven't been stapled for quite some time. ;)

No, REALLY ;), the ejector seat is near the back! Everybody go to the back to ride, you'll get the best airtime. In fact, the WORST seat is 1-3! Nobody likes 1-3, so don't wait for that seat!
~if you didn't pick up the sarcasm this second time, take your first and second fingers, place them on the side of your neck, and feel for a "thump, thump, thump." ;)~

UC is right. The only reason people even take 1-3 is because they find a short queue while they're waiting for 1-2. They're only waiting for 1-2 because the line for the front is so long. 1-3 is really their third choice.
1-3 is an urban legend, like that story about the two kids who go out parking and hear the story of the killer with a hook instead of a hand and then they drive off and later they find out that 1-3 isn't even a good seat on Magnum (take a breath now).
The best airtime on Magnum is the next to the last seat (due to wheel placement). The last seat is pretty good, too.
Think about it -- the physics of motion say that the faster you go over a hill, the more airtime you'll get. The back of the train goes over the hill faster than any other part of the train because the front is pulling it over.
I hope this ends that debate. And Doug Jones (my 10th grade physics teacher), if you're still around, I was indeed paying attention.

Living by two rules:
. 1) Don't tell 'em everything you know.
Well, that does make more since. However, I must admit that Gemini's front car packed quite a wallop on the top of the second hill. That gave some crazy air on Gemini 100. I imagine that Magnum's first car might do the same?
