Eating park food

I didn't do much of this last season but did get some french fries usually at Mr. Potato. It was a short walk from GW and it was a nice change of pace from the cafe
Dippin' Dots are always nice on a hot day.

But gourmet pretzels were da' bomb. Crew break parties just for pretzels. Gotta love the pizza ones!!!

Ugh, I love sweet tooth's Chocolate Peanut Butter shakes...

Speaking of food...Is there a lot of, if any, vegetarian choices at the employee cafe?

Thank you to Amy Jacobs and Christen Suppa for introducing me to cream cheese gourmet pretzels during breaks! Nothing like resting in the Dragster/Dragon/Mantis/(and occasionally Magnum) break area and downing one of those on your 15. Good times, good times.

But my favorite treat while playing in the park is the hot fudge funnel cake sundae at Toot Sweets.

Ice Cream Parlor... So worth both the wait and the extra cash... Too bad we can't get Toft's ice cream anywhere up here in Michigan (of course, that's also probably a good thing). The funnel cakes rule, too, as do the hot caramel apples. I won't even begin to discuss the fudge...three seasons and I've still held myself back from eating any -- but it's so tempting!! Yes, I am a CP dessert fiend, and proud of it.

I would have to say the flurries at Toot Sweets (I think that's the name) was a favorite of Amanda and I on our breaks together :)

JohnTyler. . .I am a vegetarian mySELF, and. . . I was always able to scrounge up something to eat. Sure it wasn't always gourmet. . .sure it wasn't always healthy. . .sure it was sometimes just french fries with nacho cheese on top. . .but did it have meat??? noooo.

:) For real though. . .Trying to remember back to last summer, you really don't concern yourself with eating three square meals a day. Chances are your work schedule will allow for maybe two, if you are lucky. . .and even then, it's so hot you might not want to eat anyway. I lived on the cheese sandwiches (not grilled, just cold) and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

They will get you through when you don't have time to go out and eat. . .I had Fazoli's a lot. Mmm. And Wendy's. And Mexican restaurants.

Anyway. . .the story is, no, the caf doesn't always have some spectacular vegetarian dish, but yes, there is always something to eat.

Grrr... You're all making me hungry! By the way... what exactly is "cheese on a stick"? I've been intrigued by the concept since my first trip to the point, but never actually tried it or saw any of it around.

Live Entertainment... Thanks for the info on vegetarian info. I'm not exactly a vegetarian, but I used to be and I'm a bit of a health nut.

Midway Pizza...MMMMM! But beware, I gained quite a bit of weight when I was working there (even though I did a lot of walking!). And the milkshakes at Sweet tooth were the best!

The fries were the best at Mr Potato (by GW). Very disappointed at the end of the season that they were closed.

Lol, i need to gain some weight... This sounds better every day

Josh, Cheese on a stick is like a corn dog, but with a block of cheese instead. They have them at Hot Dog on A Stick (That's a franchise) at like every mall here in cali so I always chuckle when people are so fascinated by them.

As for me, my wekaness' are Apple Pie shakes form Johnny Rocket's and pretzels. *drool*

Yes Sean... you do need to gain some weight... lol... I know this for a fact!

Personally, I think I am going to gain SO much weight this summer from Gormet Pretzels alone!

Hector, Cheese on a stick is wonderful!!! I am sooo fascinated by them! Even if they were all over everywhere... I'd still love em to death! Okay, well... not that much! But they're good! Nothing like cheese on a stick to satisfy a girls love for cheese!

Got Milk? NO! I got Cheese!!! :)

The last two years I think I had one cheese on a stick per season. It was really good, but not something I could eat every day, or even every week. I felt sluggish and gross after one of those things.
