East of Chicago Pizza

I'm planning a trip this weekend (26th-27th). Anyone know if East of Chicago Pizza is still open, or have they already closed for the season?

They've been closed since Labor day.

That's interesting. I never realized they closed during the "off-season." I guess that street probably doesn't see much traffic unless the park is open, though.

I have been there in January going to CB for a day. The entire place is like a ghost town. Most of the area hotels are closed. Its kinda depressing looking out and seeing the point in the winter being that close to it all. There is only one place we have to stop at when we are there in the winter is the sail inn in downtown sandusky. That place is great.

I'm always surprised that East of Chicago doesn't find a way to at least open on weekends after Labor Day. They could be making a fortune, especially on the Saturdays.

The problem is probably staffing the place. You'd need kids from the area to work there and high school kids don't want a job for just a few weekends.
