Tell her to go to Catawaba Island and take the Jet Express to Put-in-Bay. There are a couple nice boutiques there as well as numerous watering holes.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?
Yea, I'd go with the Aurora Premium Outlets! Lots of stores where a woman can spend hours! haha. And it's just down the road from Geauga Lake!
Hope you have a fun trip and you and your daughter get some good air time! haha. (Big Dipper has the best) ;)

While Aurora Farms is that best closest place to shop for a while. One can also consider the shopping in Solon just a little further away in the other direction. West on US 43, right in US 91 and near the 422 Highway.
Tim Allen had the best idea for an amusement park in his book "Don't stand to close to a naked man." It consisted of a whole bunch of man stuff like driving bull dozers and firing Howitzers...
Across the street was a ladies Annex as there are no women allowed in Man Land or whatever he called it. The Annex was full of things for them to do like get their hair done, nails etc...
Of course, the Howitzer's had a lock on their firing range to keep the men from firing bullets at the ladies Annex. :)

How about counseling for both of you? If you think your wife is only good at shopping, and you she can't make compromises to allow you to ride, I think there are bigger things to deal with.

There are some coasters my wife won't ride but she is plenty happy to wander through the gift stores of various parks while she waits.
Hey, when I go shopping with her I guarantee you there is a lot of waiting around in my end. (Actually, my back end.)
If I were a store like Macy's or Penney's or something like that I would install a small bar with tv's and beer right in the middle of the ladies apparell section. Then, we can sit there and wait while the wife tries everything on. She can come over, we can tell her she doesn't look fat, and the more we drink the more that will seem true.
I'd call my store bar "Suds and Duds".

Jeff do you really think that a couple who decides to go separate ways to enjoy things they independently enjoy needs counseling? While spending time together is important, and sharing each other's interests is also important, if she simply doesn't enjoy amusement parks, and he simply doesn't enjoy shopping, I see no problem whatsoever with spending their days doing different activites. I'm glad to see Poot is aware enough of his spouse's preferences to not just expect her to go along and be miserable all day on a park bench!

You didn't think that his post sounded at all sexist and disrespectful to his wife? If I ever talked about "sending" my wife or girlfriend or whatever I'd expect to get kicked in the nuts.

Yeah, the post a bit of a negative vibe to it.

It's probably just the way the post was worded. We have no idea if this was his wife's idea (to find a mall) or not. Considering I have two friends who do just that...dad and the kids head to CP while mom shops the outlet malls and all are happy.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
Considering that poot's post does not say anything regarding how good she is at shopping, my girl and I find nothing sexist or disrespectful about finding a mall.
I, like many others also have family members that do other things while we visit amusement parks.
So I guess I over-reacted.
