I'm pretty sure the new Target just opened there also.

Tell her to go to Catawaba Island and take the Jet Express to Put-in-Bay. There are a couple nice boutiques there as well as numerous watering holes.

Can you see One-Eyed-Willie from the top of Magnum?
Tim Allen had the best idea for an amusement park in his book "Don't stand to close to a naked man." It consisted of a whole bunch of man stuff like driving bull dozers and firing Howitzers...
Across the street was a ladies Annex as there are no women allowed in Man Land or whatever he called it. The Annex was full of things for them to do like get their hair done, nails etc...
Of course, the Howitzer's had a lock on their firing range to keep the men from firing bullets at the ladies Annex. :)

How about counseling for both of you? If you think your wife is only good at shopping, and you she can't make compromises to allow you to ride, I think there are bigger things to deal with.

There are some coasters my wife won't ride but she is plenty happy to wander through the gift stores of various parks while she waits.
Hey, when I go shopping with her I guarantee you there is a lot of waiting around in my end. (Actually, my back end.)
If I were a store like Macy's or Penney's or something like that I would install a small bar with tv's and beer right in the middle of the ladies apparell section. Then, we can sit there and wait while the wife tries everything on. She can come over, we can tell her she doesn't look fat, and the more we drink the more that will seem true.
I'd call my store bar "Suds and Duds".
"You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world...but it requires people to make the dreams a reality."

Jeff do you really think that a couple who decides to go separate ways to enjoy things they independently enjoy needs counseling? While spending time together is important, and sharing each other's interests is also important, if she simply doesn't enjoy amusement parks, and he simply doesn't enjoy shopping, I see no problem whatsoever with spending their days doing different activites. I'm glad to see Poot is aware enough of his spouse's preferences to not just expect her to go along and be miserable all day on a park bench!

You didn't think that his post sounded at all sexist and disrespectful to his wife? If I ever talked about "sending" my wife or girlfriend or whatever I'd expect to get kicked in the nuts.

So I guess I over-reacted.
