well it's a long story but I'll tell you if you want. The day started out with Mikey being late so we had to let him catch up on the 1st lap. That set us behind on probably the most important part of that day. After that John Billie Mikey Nat and I rode the next 8 laps together when Mikey and Nat dropped out. Now with only 3 of us the line started getting longer and longer it was a 1/2 hour wait by one.
Rode without stopping until after lap 21 when we stopped for 10 minutes to eat. I think thats about when hooper was there, maybe it was earlier. Rode I think three more maybe four, then took a little break by this time the lines were outside the building. Got back and there was hooper again. Oh yeah, "Thanks" for all the "encouagement" hooper. By this time we were comming up with some pretty weird ways to entertain ourselves in the red room...Anyways we ended up with 30...not quite what we were hoping for but in the end it was a great time. The crew was absolutly GREAT to us, very supportive of the entire thing, even at 9:00 when we only had 28 they thought we could do it. And if Mikey would have rode one more time that duct tape sure would have come in handy.
At the end we celebrated with 4th of July poppers and some pictures were taken. It was a really fun day and I'm glad I did it.
Yeah I probably would have been more encouraging if you didn't pick DT. It was hard enough for me to get encouraged to ride it. What I thought was strange is you guys are not too fond of that ride but chose to do it. Heck I think I remember John comparing the ride to "a big pile of metal" or something like that. I refer to it as, well nevermind that. I do have too give you credit for riding all day, with the 20 or so minute waits. You stuck to your plan and did the best you could.

I rode Magnum 5 times and MF once with Robin Innes.
Gemini 100
It's Dan K's fault.
You cant blame for being late...it's the construction on I-75 south from 14 mile to 11 mile, that threw me all out of wack. Anyway, Nat and I only did 9 laps, but it was A LOT of fun meeting John and Kally and we had a good time for a while...so, who's up for a Mean Streak 50 :)
mikey
p.s. yes, the DT crew were ABSOLUTELY Fab...really supportive, fun to be around!!
The DT 80 was one of the greatest days I've spent at CP in a long time. The crew was BEYOND amazing, the people I was with (the three of us) were mucho fun (it's a long story... but I'll tell you about it if you'd like), despite bladder control problems, tuesdays, rejects, and new years.
I'll post a more complete TR later tonight. I only have ONE complaint about the entire day, details to follow...

I think a Mean Streak 50 would be awesome I may be new at this whole thing but I love that ride I think it could be done especially if people there are like the people i know and whine to much about how bumpy it is and how rough it is its an awesome ride and if you schedule it I will be there.
