Okay, while I originally chose to ignore superscrewkristen's post because of its immature nature, I've decided to respond after Vanessa agreed entirely. Having a "If a person dislikes this ride, they suck!" mentality is so childish, and I've lost respect for both of your future posts. Notice how me and Neo posted on this topic in a mature way...I said IMO (in my opinion) and Neo claimed a strong personal dislike about Mantis. We realize that some people love Mantis in the same way that occasional people love Son of Beast. Opinions are what the board is about; don't make childish judgements about the people.

As for DT getting a $4 million cover because Kinzel's wife was uncomfortable with the noise, well...I don't know anything about this. But, here are my personal thoughts. Basing a $4 million decision that will affect millions of visitors on the comfort of a wife seems absurd. If they were annoyed by CP, they could have moved elsewhere, added soundproofing to the house, and so on. Things such as traffic seem like they'd be more annoying...Kinzel's wife: "Honey, could you build a new causeway using CP funding; it's just too close to the house!" All I'm saying is that if this was true, which I assume it isn't, that would be a terrible basis for a decision.

Superscrewkristen, your apology is fully accepted. I commend you for correcting your mistake. As for Mantis, I really want to love the ride...I've given it many chances...but every time I ride, the pain is the only thing I remember. I've tried riding it using different methods people have told me, but I experience this weird pressure pain in my legs (feels as if you are stretching beyond comfort), and I just want the ride to be over. I've just given up on Mantis and haven't ridden it the past few seasons. Yet, there must be a crowd that loves it, as I heard there were 2-3 hour waits earlier this season.

About the Kinzel DT story, I wasn't doubting that you made it up or lied in any way. I was just thinking that you may have gotten ahold of a rumor, like you pointed out yourself. I then added that if this was true, I felt it was a terrible basis for a decision.
