How about lights on every individual cabin for SkyRide? ;)

I found a ride pretty similar to the Windseeker on Youtube and it has some pretty awesome lighting.
The light part is around 2:28 in the video.

I am guessing this is something close to what the windseeker will have.

Also I think the lights at the top will probably blend together when the Windseeker spins because it's construction at the top is so close together.(Unlike the one in the video where the top bars that are lit are farther apart)

The ride outriggers can be seen in the KI cam1. The fat chord of the triangle appears to be the bottom judging by the art renderings. There appears to be small nodules about a foot apart down the length of these parts. Might these be light locations?

The lighting on WindSeeker is supposed to be pretty spectacular. It's now time to place your over/under on how long it will stay that way. If it goes the way of the Main Midway Games, I'll be pretty disappointed. But not surprised.

I got a chance to see the lighting package for windseeker at kings island last night, and all I gotta say is WOW!!!

Your going to be able to see this ride for miles.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

It looks absolutely incredible. The view was from the webcam for Windseeker...when they said "dramatic lighting", they weren't kidding around.

Picture here

Promoter of fog.

Just saw them...That's really incredible. I wonder what color combinations/designs they plan to use. To be honest I thought the lighting package was going to be colored flood lights/ect. shining up the ride. This is completely different than I thought. It looks just...spectacular. Now at night riding this is it going to blind you. I would kind of love to look around, without seeing bright lights in my eyes hahah...any thoughts?

Went to KI this weekend :)

great lighting package :)

I posted a trip report over in the trip report category of course...I'll just copy & paste what I put about it for those who didn't get to witness it. I didn't take my camera in the park but my friend did. If he uploads the pics/videos I'll be sure to get it to you...Anyways

Their windseeker was missing all the swings in the AM, but today (5/1) they had all of the swings on there. The dramatic lighting package when seen in real life is stunning. The tower lights are up top and shine down and illuminate the tower & various colors. The gondola lights work in unison with the lights coming down from the gondolas to the seats. Now here's the way it looks. Starting off at the base of the gondola (lowest point, not where the swings are) you will see a bar of light emerge. Let's say red starts off. It will flow from this point to the top of the gondola, and then flow from that point down the lights attached to the bars holding the swings. So you will see various strips of lights flowing on the ride, in that sequence. The most prominent colors were Red blue, green, and some odd purple, but there were others included, however you will see mainly the red, blue, and green.

I shot video of the lights at kings island, but can't post video on here.. :( The lights look amazing. They have lights at the top of the tower shining down the tower. The lights change color every few seconds.

There must be a few differant programs for the lights. One time I walked by and the lights were one solid color, the next time I walked by they were all different colors.

This will eventually show up in a trip report, but for now you can get a sneak preview...

Here's a split-screen video showing the lights on Windseeker at Kings Island on opening day. That's an unembedded link to an MP4 video, so if your browser doesn't handle it right or if the server sends you a bunch of text, just download from the link and open the file in QuickTime or VLC or whatever you't got that can handle H.264 video.
