hi! I have to write an article for my school newspaper about *ahem* kingda ka, and I was wondering if anybody had any criticisms regarding the new ride, or any points I could bring up to show that Dragster is still better :)

How about the fact that TTD was built 2 years before Kingda Ka. It was the first and revolutionary. Also, TTD is located in the best park in the entire world! You can't beat that!

How about the fact that there isn't much diffrence between the two.

Mention the over the shoulder restraints on Kingda Ka. Potentially much more painful and less fun than Dragster's lap bar.
Also, Dragster has somewhat higher capacity, rated at 1500 pph vs. 1400 pph for Kingda Ka.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Yeh you could mention something about how Six Flags does a poor job of running their rides and keeping the park clean
And possibly all of the downtime that it might experience;)

How about you really can't prove that Top Thrill Dragster is better than Kingda Ka, because it's not even built yet.
Top Five:
1)TTD 2)MF 3)Magnum 4)Raptor 5)WT
Umm let's see no one here I think like's sholder restrains over lap bars and for me thats about it.

The biggie is the fact that 30 feet and a few mph wont make much of a difference. I dont think the record breaking parts of the ride will feel much different than TTD. The floater hill on the other hand will be quite interesting...
No, it would be a better ride, but the shoulder restraints make it worse. It is a better design because of the floater hill. And it would be better if it had lap bars, but the shoulder restaints hold it back.

You that think you'll be getting great air time on the Bunny Hill are wrong. From what I've seen with all of the track that has arrived, and my knowledge of Kinda Ka's layout so far, the brake run is going to begin not to far from the crest of the hill. Otherwise, you'll only get a second of air time before directly hitting the brakes.
Go to this page and look at the green Bunny Hill track pieces to see the brake mounts, and what I mean.

Especially this picture, http://www.xtremecoasters.com/photo_gallery/displayimage.php?album=60&pos=68
The piece of track dead center is actually part of the crest with the brake mounts on it.

From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~
If the launch is only "3.8" seconds long, what's the need for the extra length(I know it's because of the bunny hill). All I have to say is that you'll never see me on KDK......EVER!!! It's like intamin didnt even put any serious thought into KDK, they just said "HEY, I have an idea..... lets take Dragsters tower and put a bunny hill into it."
Plain and simple, KDK sucks, TTD RULES. (WHO EVER HEARD OF A GREEN TIGER!)

Six Flag's has put a construction diary and pictures up on their website. Copying off some other place, don't you think.

Yeah, that's the most thoughtful thing I've ever read on the subject. Well done.

Mention on how TTD, a Cedar Fair, coaster had its share of down time, but you can expect Kinda Ka, a Six Flags coaster, to have even more down time. Six FLags has a poor reputation with keeping its rides running smoothly.
Examples:
Deja Vu@ SFMM,SFGAM,SFOT
Mr. Freeze
X @ SFMM
Almost Every roller coaster at Six Flags Magjc Mountain is runing 1 train and has been for the majority of the season
Now let me ask you a question. How many times have you been to a Six Flags park and have had every single ride operating that day?
Now How many times have you been to Cedar Point and have had every single ride operating?
