Dragster trouble

My brother just sent me this pic of the pump room for Dragster. He said its been down all day and it looks like they are pulling out the pump or electric motor.

Well here we go again.

Glad I was there yesterday and got a ride on it!

Ugh Always with the Top Thrill Dragster, and the downtime, and whatnot haha.

Wow a whole hour. You guys just have no confidence. Hasen't it been quite a while since there has been any significant downtime? LIke 2 years I think. And that was only a couple days.

it was the lugnut... fixed it

It's near ERT day so we are looking at the status of Dragster carefully... After what happened to Millennium before it's ERT, anything could go wrong.

The same goes with Magnum (even though it's not as complex as Dragster) and Maverick. It happened last year on both Dragsters AND Millenniums ert.
You said it Jason, there's no confidence anymore. Millennium went down, and they got it up and running within days....DAYS! Enough time for Coastermania. Not to mention they rescheduled the ert session.

In any case, it looks like they were switching out a motor. You can one sitting on the forks of the forklift.

This isn't 2003, 04 or 05 people....they know what they're doing. Last time I was at CP, Dragster didn't go down AT ALL throughout the whole day. I wouldn't be surprised that this motor had to be changed on account of her running soooo well.

its open now rode it yesterday

It went down for a few minutes the other day around 5 for minor issue with a pneumatic and I overhead a few platinum pass holders freaking out that it wasn't going to run for the ert. Needless to say I lol'd.:)

^ I love how it goes down for a pneumatic about once every two days or so and people get freaked out. Especially when I know that it usually is about a 15-20 min fix if that is truly what the problem is.

Then the big mass of GP leave within 5 minutes of it not being up, but get mad when they see it up and running within 10 minutes.

Or my personal favorite. When I wait outside the enterance for the rain to stop. When everyone comes and asks the enterance worker "When is the rain going to stop" or "What rides are working now" and the worker would reply "When mother nature wants it to" or "Lets see (looks to left, then right) nothing" I waited 4 1/2 hours in the rain/mist on opening day first inline at the enterance listening to this. After a while he was going crazy and when someone would ask "When is it going to open" and he would reply "I would just go ride something else"

The best part is when a mass group gets out of line like last night around 9:10 when it closed due to a pneumatic issue. They are acting as if it wont open again to everyone in line saying "They dont know what the problem is" when suddenly you hear "Keep Arms Down, Head Back, and Hold On!" Their faces are priceless when it happens!! Of course they now are out of line so as they go back to the entrance, you hear them yelling at the one person in the group that decided to leave.

Until they Make people leave the line, I will stay in line because it always is a 5-10 min problem. And the line always gets 45 min shorter as well.

Yup, love to see look on the faces of the people that leave. I just look at this way when it does have it's minor hiccups and the masses leave, less people in front of me.

Trust me, I gained patience riding it on opening day. Talking about a nightmare up 15 minutes down 20 minutes and so on. People leave and you see them try to get back into line. 4.5 hour wait for first ride. But it was even worse at closing, gotta enjoy the bonus extra 5.5 hours being in a park that closed at 8 PM and finally made it on the ride around 1:15 in the morning. It was one of the most memorable CP line waits in a long time due to the fact of the constant break downs and then the worry of not being able to go on it at all.

their was no problems with top thrill dragster yesterday and friday and thursday it was only down for rain on friday i get about 16 times on the dragster due to short wait about 10 mintues and then 3 mintues wait. someone give a ride host a middle finger from the front row they shut down the dragster for short deley they start it running about 3 mintues with the poilce waited for those guys they almost get kick out the park. they load the trains i get the red train i really want the black train. that the only deley on the top thrill dragster

^What black train? You mean Black Cherry? Why don't you like the red train it is awsome, it's not like its the gold train.

Is there really a difference? ^how did you understand what he posted?
