Well if you dragrace cars at the track you will notice it is very hard to come by the amount of adrenaline you get from high performance cars. at the end of some races my whole body is literally shaking. (1996 transam, with all boltons, best time in the quarter for me is 12.8 secs) So I think the theme is great for this ride, IF the launch is close to the speed of real dragsters, probally near the regular dragsters, not the top fuelers lol,, that would require everyone to wear helmets and have there helmet be cliped in the seat and they will probally black out lol, (top fuelers dot he quarter mile in around 4-5 secs and reach near 250 MPH.

see, THAT'S the kind of racing I like. some guy takes his car, mods the fudge out of it, and makes a little cash at the quarter mile! THAT would have been a cooler theme element; CP putting this guy's Trans Am in the plaza!

yea, your right,, they should of made it a duel track (racing) trans ams Or 1 track "transams" and the other side "mustangs" and the kiddie coasters can be rice rockets (hondas, toyotas) lol. It would alternate randomly with slight differnces in launch pressures so people would win. that would be cool,, call it "FUEL" or something cool I dont know

id like to see your trans am. is there a picture of it somewhere? an ultra-modded trans am beats a regular dragster in coolfactor any day of the week (since you can drive it on the street and smoke kids in mustangs). i STILL don't like having a dragster in the plaza, but ill live with it...

accually I got a picture of me in my dads but not in mine,, my dads is a 30th annaversary transam,, I love that car , Ill get a good picture and superimpose the car on the track lol (nm i found a picture of my car and my brothers)

Well, I'm a Sr. in college and I do not think the theming on TTD is corney at all. I am not a fan of any kind of car racing, and still I think the theming is an excellent idea. I think it lends itself well to the ride and adds an extra element of imagination to the pure thrill of the ride. In my opinion, Cedar Point is doing a great job.

By the way, DrXXXX those are some beautiful cars.

What do dragsters have to do with NASCAR? Stock cars are a little bit different vehicle. And hey, if a person is "biased" towards liking car racing, saying "dragsters are cool" would make sense -- dragsters are cars that race, right? Someone who loves car races would probably be immediately attracted to this ride; I can tell the sport isn't your style (excepting street drag racing) and that's okay.

(For good humor's sake...) And by the way, NASCAR fans, Jeff Gordon is a god -- didn't he win on Sunday? ^_^ It's my dad's fault I watch car races...

I agree, Gordon is the man. (and btw, NASCAR and drag racing have nothing in common. I never watch Drag races and think this is a great theme, altho NASCAR would be even better!)

To stay on topic I think the theming is great, at first I was a little let down to see how short the ride time would be, but with all the themeing put into it I think it will be a great ride.

yeah, if they themed it NASCAR you could buy one of those beer helmet things at the exit! Yeee Haw!!
