Dragster mechanical problems 9/19/10

Why cant maintinence go up there and fix those countdown lights during the week that no one is there,makes no sence to me.

It costs money?

The countdown lights have nothing to do with the tower lights,because last year all the countdown lights worked when the tower lights were off,so has nothing to do with it,i have an idea if its a money thing then just take down the countdown lights,dont have them at all,seems very stupid,to not fix them.

They've were not working on Labour Day, maybe even before that. I don't think it has to do with Terror Island.

I was there August 31 and September 1 and noticed they were out as well so it's definitely not Halloweekends related. Is it really that much work for a maintenance guy to go up there and replace them?

I'm wondering if it's an electrical issue up there. But never the less, they have multiple 4 day weeks to get some electricians up there to fix it.

They probably figure that it's pretty close to the end of the season, and the only people who would ever complain about it are enthusiasts.

Im looking at the Pagoda web cam and i see a lot of lights on TTD tower,can someone tell me what these are for ,never seen them before,iassume its a mantinence thing,maybe to there fixing the 2 yellow countdown lights that were not working,just a guess,thanks

I really don't think they would be replacing the lights just a few days into being closed for 5 months. I would think they would wait for before opening to replace lights, but I have seen stranger things from Cedar Fair. My guess is that the large floods are off and so we are only seeing the lights that are on the tower which is never really seen during normal operations.

Those are the maintenance lights.
