Dragster May Close for Rest of Season

Ok. Here's what I don't really understand. I work in the Fluid Power industry, so I know my fair share about hydraulics. EVERY single hydraulic system installs FRL's (Filter/Regulator/Lubricator) to keep this stuff from happening. Most of these filters are around 10 microns (the naked eye can see down to about 30 microns). So, either:

1) The filter didn't work...for some reason...

2) The micron level was too high

3) They didn't install a filter (yeah, right...)

4) There are shavings of pieces coming off inside the pump or the motor, and causing damage before it gets to a filter.

My guess is #4, which would not be a very good sign at all, and would cause a lot of damage...

Well, at least Janice Witherow's perky optimism is still around........

"What time does the 10 pm laser show start?"

I live somewhere in California and I have rode the Xcelerator. I have not heard of any problems with the ride or the cable snapping. The only thing that happened to the ride (and this was only once)that the ride didn't get enough speed and it went part way up the hill and it went backwards. THIS HAPPENED ONLY ONCE. The Knotts Berry Farm manager closed the ride for six weeks for a hydraulics inspection and ride inspection. So I bet all of you that TTD will open in Mid- July. The people at Knotts any way close the ride from four to six weeks yearly.
I just called some one at Cedar Point... And that persom said that is not true and MOST LIKELY NOT going to happen that the themeing isn't going to be on trains.for example: the tires, spoilers, and the smoke that comes out of the train. I swear she told me this.
TTD IS DA BOMB, do you mind re-phrasing that? Sorry, but it doesn't make much sense.

Smoke comes out of the train? Wow, I always thought it came out from underneath the launch track...

Im really sorry. Let me re- phrase that. It was a little confusing.

I called Cedar Point a few minutes on their telephone service. I asked a lady if the manufacturer was going to take off the themeing on the train. The lady answered,"This is not true, and anyway this is definately not going to happen."

By the way, Im not sure if the smoke comes out of the pipe on the train. It could be on the track. It least that's what Ive heard.

When I said for example I meant : The manufacturer might take off the giant tires on the back of the train, the smoke that comes out of the train, and the spoiler on the back of the train.

The smoke doesn't come from the back of the train, it comes from under the track and right behind the train...

Yes... but we've known for a couple days that the themeing was not making a comeback.
