Really depends on what you're looking for. The off-point dorms (Red and Blue, aren't they?) have A/C, are newer, and closer to the after-hours nightlife. If you aren't into that, but like the idea that you can sleep until 20 minutes before your shift starts and not be late, then the on-point dorms (Cedars and Gold) would be the better choice. They look like they ought to be condemned, but in my opinion you can't beat being next to the cafeteria, wardrobe, post office, etc., and you never have to hassle with catching the bus on parking ban days.
Of course, a huge factor is also where rooms are available! :)
