Dorms & Parties

I really hate to disagree, but I couldn't find anything about it on the site except for basic information, which really is all I'm getting here as well, but that's ok... not a problem, I'm not going until next summer anyhow. :)

Well. . .I really hate to disagree, but. . .

Basic information? Hmm. . . it says what are DORMS, it says what are APARTMENTS, it gives descriptions of the rooms, whether or not they are co-ed, pricing information, # of roommates, distance from Cedar Point etc.

You asked how much, how far, co-ed, etc. . .all of which are answered at cedarpoint.com . . . just like was stated earlier. But I hate to disagree, so I won't.

If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?

disagree-agree....this is when it gets silly. these questions are valid. what is on the cedar point is not enough, we give more of nsight on cedar point then the site.
We might give more insight into what the actual rooms are like, etc...

...but general information is given on the site as 'Live E' stated. It really doesn't take that long to look this information up.

I think that us vet/returning employees need to be as helpfull and answer any questions for the new ones. Just because some of us have worked at the park before and know the information does not give us the right to be snotty about it. At CP, most of us are nice, welcoming and attempt to make everyone feel at home in the commons at at the location you work at. Think about the position that you were in during this time before your first year. I'd imagine that you had some of the same questions if not more. And there were returning employees from this site that helped you and answered your questions before processing in. Now it is time to return the favor instead of being like, "your stupid go to the CP site!"

I have said my peace and did not mean to offend anyone, I just felt that someone needed to show the readers of this thread that not all the employees are mean and crewl

337boi I agree with you.....Look lets close this discussion right now...If you are driving down Cedar Point Drive toward the causeway and the park, on your left is dark brown buildings called COMMONS APTS and tan buildings called COMMONS DORMS. Also referred to as "COMMONS COMPOUND" for its jail-like setting. They roughly cost $33 per week. Down the road a little further on the left is 2 ugly green and brown buildings called BAYSIDE APTS. They cost around $24 a week. Sitting just next to Bayside are funny little A shaped houses. They are referred to as A-frames and they are for our corporate friends and families so dont bother cause some of us have tried...it wont happen. Hope this helps and please dont worry too much...everything will fall in place. Good luck:)))
Thank you very much to those of you who are in support of my questions, I'm sorry if I offended anyone and don't worry, I already know not everyone at CP is mean and nasty. :) And yes, I've been to the main site many times, just looking for some inside info... I'll be looking into it more next winter, but thank you :)

I just want to add a little note for the newbies in this thread that have questions about how the pay for employee houseing works.
Like the other returning members have menitoned each housing location has it's different price in pay which is payroll deducted each week. However, payroll doesn't take out the full amount every week if you don't work a lot of hours. For example pre-season and post-season when the park's not very busy you will have like $19 taken out instead of $25.
Don't panic though they don't take out more than the set amount. Plus if you're living in housing after labor day they don't charge for housing.
I hope this information has been helpful.

You are right KillerSeagual....its never to exceed the amounts i wrote previously but if you make less they "magically" take less. Housing is free after Labor Day...woo hoo:)))
