Do you think TTD fitts in

I totally agree with you, i do think its a cheap way to get the tallest and fastest record back at CP. i mean my friends wernnt overly impressed by it, saying stuff like "Its only 17 seconds? thats all it does? i wanted 2 hours for that?"
Raptor, at $25 million, I dont think cheap is the correct word. What about cost effective and space effective. I was one of the first and most vocal complaining about the length, and duration of TTD, but given the uncertainty of the GP acceptance of the ride, I think it is perfect. Keep in mind, it is safe to assume at some point in our lives, CP will build an even taller coaster.

I am thrilled that I can go to one park and ride the tallest and third tallest continuous circuit coasters in the world.

I know that this is off-topic but it's not important enough for a new thread. From the looks of the ground cam I dont see the real "dragster" that they had in front of the station there anymore. Just wondered if anyone else was there to confirm or say if it has been moved somewhere else?

Top Thrill Dragster: 9
Magnum XL-200: 38
Trips to the point: 26

I hate to get involved with this, but I just can't believe people are still disgruntled about TTD and it's "cheap" record breaking stats. Not only did CP want a record breaker, but they wanted a rocket coaster. Rocket coasters' main purpose is to shoot you really fast and really high, not deliver a long and drawn out ride. There are only 2 rocket coasters to date, and even Xcelerater is just a small TTD with 2 added overbanks. I'm not sure about everybody else, but I'll take the extra capacity and the cash that will go towards the next record breaker over a couple of not quite exciting overbanks.

Now that that's out of my system, I'd have to say that TTD is placed rather nicely. I agree with Chief that it's good to see a new ride right in the middle of the park rather than being thrown on the outside.

Too short! How many of you were able to breathe riding TTD imagine not being able to breathe for 2 minutes.
I'm probably gonna get bashed for this but when TTD was over I felt like I wanted more.Like Hypersonic.I don't think there would of been room anyway.Still,I like it the way it is,short and sweet, and it's still an awsome ride.

There is a spot in the back of the main parking lot where Power Tower and Dragster line up perfectly

.

yes, when i was waiting in like for TTD the first time a CP games employee stated there was a picture of them lining up,( but dragster just being alittle bit wider, and taller) was a joke through the employees, here it goes:

"the real reason CP built TTD is because if you dont know every year cedar point is the only amusement park in the nation to hold a "rainbow day" or "gay day" on fathers day every year. Power tower used to be the "staple" landmark (looking like a giant penis towerering over the park) but, with the concerns for 'safe-sex' growing, the needed to build something bigger, and if you see the picture http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun_online/galleries/index.cfm

(the bottom most picture) TTD looks like a condom over power tower"....

what sick minds CP employees have!
just thaught id enlighten you guys with some very crude CP employee humor

No kidding i'm 26 and very healthy, I cant even get a breath till I start the climb, then I begin to lose my breath all over again on the way down. I'd die if it were longer.

Hey...this doesn't exactly have to do with the post, but why was TTD down on Tuesday? I come up to visit friends in Ohio once a year, and I came this past week and we went to Cedar Point on Tuesday. I had been looking forward to the ride since I found out they were building it, and it wound up being closed the whole day. Now I have to wait till next year to ride it. Oh well. Anyways, good job to the Raptor crew, I couldn't believe how fast the line went, and the announcer guy on Wicked Twister was really funny and made it fun to stand in line and stuff. Other than the fact that TTD was down, I had a lot of fun. Oh well, there is always next year to ride it.
it fits but there needs to be more trees by cork screw then it would balance it out more

I'm always dancing and parting in the que lines so if ya see me just yell TEAM RAMROD!!

it fits but there needs to be more trees by cork screw then it would balance it out more and what about the tree hugging thrill seekers????

TTD looks great in its glory in the central area of the park!

edit: I do not think that TTD is a cheap way to break the record, you want to know cheap? MF opened as tallest and fastest roller coaster, then Steel Dragon 2000 Force (or whatever) opened in Japan at 318 feet, the tallest, by 8 feet, that is cheap...

On TTD you stop breathing for 17 seconds, lets not breathe for 2 minutes, 45 seconds, lol...I dont think TTD comes close to cheap, have you ridden it yet?!
