I have been told many rumors that workers get 1 night a week that a ride is open late just for them. They then get to ride it and they take off the brake systems and stuff. Is this all true and what rides do they usually open late then?
They do get ride nights, but all systems are functioning as they would for guests.
I wouldn't be surprised though if on Magnum nights, the trim brakes are turned off for their rides.

They normally open a ride on Monday nights after the park closes. Started in May with Maverick ride night and every monday since than with a different coaster and sometimes they would open a Flat Ride along with the coaster (Ex. Disaster/MaxAir & Corkscrew Power Tower). And I just got back from Big Bash with an hour on Maverick Sky Hawk and Wave Swinger.

Yep they do. I liked the ride night on Iron Dragon in 04 the best, they were so.... whats the word.... spunky!

I've been working at Cedar Point for 7 seasons now, and I've not made it to a ride night. I'm just too tired after work to go to ride night, but I think this season I'll finally go. Everybody I've worked with, that's gone to ride nights says it's really fun. I'd like to go to the movie night as well, cause I think I read in the "Behind the Lines" employee news letter they serve the famous CP fries. Looking forward to the 2011 season!
