The only other cedar fair park that houses employees is Valleyfair near Minneapolis. But the housing is very limited.

I haven't heard of a Six Flags with housing. SFMM and KBF has the luxury of LA.

CP houses I believe ~2500 employees but they don't have the worker base close enough to them so they need a large amount of housing.

Disney has housing as well.

i know disney has housing, i worked there... but there housing is only for college program students and international employees for world shocase at epcot... not just for anyone like cedar point is.
six flags is too ghetto to have housing...the way they run that park is horrible....i saw employees talking on cell phones...man that right there is an automatic 16pts and you're fired....

There are some Six Flags parks with housing. I know that SFGAM has housing but its at Carthage College in Wisconsin which is about 20-30 minutes from the park. Also I beleive SFGAD has housing. I don't know of any other parks though.

Six Flags employees are used to getting their asses kicked around since Six Flags is so understaffed. Their management can't really push hard standards since their employees will quit, so...

But those kids can work quite hard, don't kid yourselves into thinking otherwise.

(Obviously I used to work at one of the parks)

Michigan's Adventure has a housing agreement with a local college. I don't remember the specifics of the agreement, though (for example, if employees have to take a class to live there or not).

Silver Dollar City has "The Barricks" they are like old army berricks with a large room with rows of beds(about 20) and a locker at the end of the bed. 2-3 people in one room is a treat.

I know for a fact that Kings Island down near Cincinatti does not have housing for its seasonal employees and they only house the employees that come from over seas in their resort for either a small fee or no fee at all.

Acctually Kings Island does have some housing but i'm not sure where its at. Earlyer this season I filled out an application just for the fun of it and it said that housing "was" available but when I asked about it they said that it would not be offered this season as aposed to past seasons. Not really sure why they would do that but that's what they said.

I was there this past weekend for its opening weekend and the shuttle bus driver told us that they were not going to provide housing due to the conflict going on in Iraq. Im pretty sure they just want to be on the safe side.

Lee's observation: What terrorist would want to make Kings Island a target? I can think of so many other places (chemical plants, etc.) that would be better to strike at first. (and by the way, grammar buffs, is there an apostrophe in "Kings Island"? I have no idea!)

I am sure Sadam has a scud pointed directly at the employee housing at Kings Island. I hope they have air raid sirens lol

As a Knotts employee I can tell you that there is no housing. The closest thing we have to housing is a classified section in the bi weekly employee newsletter. Housing in LA metro area is damn expensive, we're talking 900 bucks + for a 1 bedroom in a private house which is why i find it odd that CP employees, after their bonus, get paid more than KBF new hires ($6.75, $7.07 on days you clean restrooms). Doesn't take long to be promoted though (we're talking 2 years to supervisor in my dept -in business attire- if you're a model employee).
Well, KBF isn't as large as Cedar Point and thus doesn't depend so much on bringing the staff to the park itself.

Nah, it has nothing to do with the number of employees, just the fact that KBF isn't in a rural area and has over 200,000 residents within 10 minutes travel, and about 1/2 of the employees are past seasonal.
Are you serious that talking on a cell phone while working will get you fired?
