I dont believe it. It is probably nonsense.

I would believe it. As far as discrimination I dont think so... I believe its part of the image that they are trying to portray. They tried to have as few guy sweeps as possible this year. I believe there were only two in the whole park. If you are interested in being a sweep though just try to work sky ride. They end up sweeping half of the time anyway lol
Doubtful. Try to give a reasonable reason for a BFOQ that requires a sweep to be female would be about the same as trying to give a reasonable reason that Santa Claus exists.
It has to do with a requiring you to be a female to be a sweep. With regards to gender segregated crews that's different, they're not saying we'd have a male crew of sweeps and a female crew of sweeps, like they would have Raptor boys, and Magnum girls, to be clearer ride operators could be either gender but locations depended on gender. If this is true that's saying all sweeps have to be female which probably could be challenged through the EEOC.
UpsideDown! :-)
As long as there are still *some* male sweeps, can they get around the whole legal issue (I'm really asking)? If there was at least one male sweep, would that be enough to cover them? I've been wondering this since the beginning of the season when this rumor first popped up.
