Disastor Transport in 3D?

I remember riding it while it was bobsled type. It was a pretty decent ride, not TOO bad. Halfway through the ride you could see the area that slows you down for a bit.

I know a kid who was scared because of the "claw" in the middle of the ride. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I don't know what he was talking about.

The 3D squares in the"Q" area are pretty cool. Looks like you can jump from one to the other, and the other ones go on down for eternity!

That 'claw' was actually the satellite prop. It rested on a platform in the middle of the large helix. It had arms that spun in circles that looked like claws. It's still there but since all the rooms have the 'starfield lighting effect' you can only make out it's faint silouhette.
The worst part about DT now is that there's really no indication (or it's very subtle) that you're actually supposed to be going anywhere. You get on, go through the ride with no lead up on your trip, and the *poof*, "welcome to Alaska!" What? When the heck was I supposed to be going to Alaska?

I actually think that this ride would be improved if they turned off all the lights and made it pitch black. You would not know where you're going and it would be disorienting and fun, especially with good sound effects. They could also put fans to make it seem faster than it actually is.
