Disaster Transport...ch ch ch changes

I used to think waiting in line was nice, because of the AC. But my past trip it was very hot outside, and it still seemed warm inside of DT's building. Not only that, but when you are in the part of the queue that seems to be narrow and enclosed with what looks like tin or some sort, it stinks...bad! DT's queue used to be my favorite to wait in. But now it is my least.

I would like to see what Cedar Point could do with that area if they tore down the ride and building. I do actually enjoy the ride a bit and it is one of my mom's favorite coasters at Cedar Point. Though, I would still like a new roller coaster or other type of ride that doesn't spin put in there to freshen up that area. As many others have said, the area is loaded with potential.

When I was waiting in line I noticed that the moving containers that move around the ceiling weren't functioning. There was also no one there selling 3D glasses or anything. If CP is going to get rid of a coaster, DT should be the leading candidate.

I love disaster. Such a unique ride, unlike anything else in the park. GREAT ride for families, and first coaster riders. It just needs some TLC. Putting music in the ques is a really nice idea, but if they arent going to have any story line behind the ride, then they need to add more disco balls, stars, and etc... to the ride

^ Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it be a little strange to see a disco ball in a space themed bobsled roller coaster queue?

^Most people don't even know that it is space themed. I would not mind a disco ball. Right now riding the ride with/without 3D glasses it is just a slow ride going up and down in a dark room. What a thrill!

I visited earlier this season and the queue was totally empty from the 3-D stand until the load platform. It was creepy walking through that very dim building alone, with nothing but the sound of the rumbling trains.

The ride itself would have made a decent "dark ride" experience if they had some surprises, like traversing a dark passage of track and suddenly something menacing-looking lights up right near you. It doesn't have to be an animatronic Yeti, but movement would help. See the Earthquake ride at Universal Studios: When the other BART train comes out of the tunnel, blows its horn and all you see is the headlights heading right for you, that's a pretty good scare. I'd love to see a simulated "near miss" like that on Disaster Transport.
