Yeah... it ran 2 cars today... Talk about the slowest moving line ever.

The line starts into the "repair bay" for HalloWeekends and the time to set up beforehand.
The ride does in fact suck. Avalanche run sucked. It's too short and was not designed to fit any theme. Putting a building around a ride and attempting a theme was futile effort. The theme was pretty cheesy from conception. The execution of the theme was decent in some areas while others were inconsistent and subpar. With a few exceptions, the theme is been set to rot.
Rider, explain to me then, if the ride has only 5 vehicles, how 5 could be running when there's always atleast 2 sitting on the transfer track.

Cedar Point does:

Based on the fact that they say Gemini has 6 trains, I'm guessing they mean the total number, which is what leads me to believe they only have 5 vehicles.

I realize that, but my point is that they couldn't possibly be running 5 shuttles when they only have 5 and there are 2 sitting on the transfer track.

There are 7 shuttles total. Of which only 5 are run at a time (except for any different situations). Two are always sitting outside.
They are numbered 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 (1 seems to be missing... for fun we call the one in the repair bay #1 even though it isn't real) which makes it even more confusing because there are NOT 8 shuttles, only 7.
The website is wrong (or at least only counts the running shuttles) and the only thing I can suggest to you in order to get proof is to come back and visit. Anyone on the crew (or even anyone in Park Operations) can tell you how many we are running and even let you watch as they cycle through the station.

Well, I guess that clears that up then. I was basing it on the fact that all the sources say 5. But that does bring up another question... did the ride use to always run 6 shuttles then? It seems like they don't stack as far back into the brakerun during normal operation as they used to.
