Disaster Transport?

The roof isn't the problem. The vents on the top and sides of the ride is the problem. Who's bright idea was that anyway. Itec didn't design the building just the Special effects, right?

I think Disaster Transport was a good ride for what it was supposed to be, but they shuld have added more drops. At least it is better than Mine Ride though. Was Mine Ride supposed to be a kids coaster? I think there are bigger drops and more fun to be had on Woodstocks Express. :)
Remember how old CCMR is, and it isn't that small. At one time, the Gemini was the tallest in the world, and now there are very few parks that don't have a coaster higher than it! Whenever you look at coasters, you have to put them in their appropriate time frame. Like when they built DT, there weren't so many computer effects and stuff that they could do now. Ah, well!

So is it not possible for Mine Ride to add some scenery or update it. Even their oldest coaster Blue Streak is more fun to ride and has a bigger hill. So Mine Ride really couldn't have been better then?
If I remember correctly, kids WERE allowed on CCMR (48" unless with adult was the rule.) I think that CCMR was CP's first steel coaster (am I correct?) I would also assume that woodie tech was much more advanced back then.
The ride was the first steel coaster ever to be designed. I think Arrow was designing Matterhorn and Mine Ride at the same time.

I keep trying to like DT, and I definitely don't think it is as bad as some people say it is (2 words: air conditioning). It would be a lot better if it was longer in ride time and if they updated the theming. Anyone know exactly how long it is? It must be like a minute or less

I believe if you include the lift time it's almost 2 minutes, but without the lift it is considerably shorter. DT has a really long lift time in comparison to other coasters it's size.

I am fairly certain that Arrow did not design the CP Mine Ride at the same time they where designing the Matterhorn. The Matterhorn was built in 1959, a full ten years before the CP Mine Ride. The first Mine Ride was built at Six Flags over Texas in 1966. I think CCMR was the second Mine Ride ever built.
Disaster is right around 2 minutes 40 seconds from the time you leave the station until you get back, but yes, a lot of it is the lift.
