After looking at the construction pics of KK it appears to me that after the bunny hill this thing is going to be going pretty slow. There's not much of straight track after the bunny hill. I think they should have extended the straight away a little before the turn into the station. Maybe it's just the angle the pics were taken at that's fooling me. However, I will reserve judgement until after I ride it.
There are brakes on the entire "drop" of the hill after the peak.

Im young and im looking for a rush. ttd have giving me the biggest rush of my life. yea it short but wow. the first time i got off it i didnt know what 2 say. After riding it in the front i dont think any thing could be as good. your so free and just a rush and thats what i love about it. short or not it still fun
After looking at more construction pics I see the brakes Jeff is speaking about. I'm really trying to reserve judgment but on a ride like this, brakes all the way down a bunny hill like that are going to suck. I can forsee a thread on Coasterbuzz, "KK, Waste of huge bunny hill?"
I'm with you there Scott, that post was very hard to read. Use that shift key a little why don't you.
On the bunny hill topic, remember the train won't be hitting the brakes as hard as TTD does since the train slows down going over the hill. I agree with the waste of a bunny hill topic. It looks cool and all, but it does look to be kind of a waste to me anyway, we'll see in May.
I have kind of a technical question that didn't get answered over at CoasterBuzz a while back. I realized that Xcelerator, Storm Runner, and Kingda Ka have extremly steep brakeruns. TTD on the other hand has a relativly shallow brakerun. I know it was for space issues, but do the magnetic brakes grab the train harder on a steep slop than they do on a shallow slop? TTD has an approxitment 500 foot brakerun, Kingda Ka has maybe a 300 or less brakerun. I heard that Xcelerator's brakerun grabs really hard too. Can anyone find some truth to this statment?

I think the best coasters have a little bit more to offer than just one thrill. Take MF for example.....to me it is a great ride because it balances thrill, with ride length, with theming.......

Longer rides get boring to me. On MF I feel like I'm going really fast for a long time and just turning a little. Which that is what it is. It's a great ride, but I like Raptor since it's constantly fliping different ways and of course TTD, it launches, goes up, down, twist, speeds into the the brakes, and you then have to figure out what happened.

In my opinion, the only way to truly appreciate TTD is by sitting front seat, and that is why it ranks #1 on my list

TTD front and TTD back both have its advantages: front because going over that hill with nothing ahead of you but air is an intense feeling.
Back seat: you're being pulled over that hill a bit faster, and it can be more unnerving to you. For me, I like both. It's a fast ride you can generally get on in a very fast time, and go on to other rides. It has one trick, but that's one hell of a trick! *** Edited 4/1/2005 6:36:50 AM UTC by Hartley***
